As the daughter of a famed author, Isolde Ophelia Goodnight grew up on tales of brave knights and fair maidens. She never doubted romance would be in her future, too. The storybooks offered endless possibilities.

And as she grew older, Izzy crossed them off. One by one by one.

Ugly duckling turned swan?
Abducted by handsome highwayman?
Rescued from drudgery by charming prince?

No, no, and… Heh.

Now Izzy’s given up yearning for romance. She’ll settle for a roof over her head. What fairy tales are left over for an impoverished twenty-six year-old woman who’s never even been kissed?

This one.

Geri After reading the description, this should be a good read!

Mariana | 2692 comments I loved this book. Have fun ladies!

Geri I read the first 4 chapters. Interesting beginning! Both the hero and heroine are in such desperate states. The house they both want to live in sounds so run down. This isn’t the usual historical romance. I definitely want to find out more!

Tanya Sridhar (angellus08) | 343 comments I've only just started. Hoping to read more while travelling tomorrow.

My first ever Tessa Dare book!

Geri I think I am through chapter 16 now. I really enjoy the chemistry between Ransom and Izzy! And I love all the fans of Izzy’s father’s books! It would be difficult, though, being seen as the little girl in the books.

How are you liking your first Tessa Dare?

Karishma (karishmanewar) | 0 comments This is one of my favourite books, enjoy!

Geri I finished and did enjoy the book. I will definitely read the rest of the trilogy.
