Touma paced around the room, grabbing books, flipping pages and scanning every word yet he still couldn't find the last ingredient to a potion he was trying to make.In frustration, he bit his lip and harshly put the books down on a messy table. "Where...where did I put that damn book?". Not paying attention to where he was walking and stepped on the book he was trying to look for. "W-woah!"
A loud crash sounded throughout the room as he slipped and fell, papers going everywhere. This was not common for Touma at all, he alway got himself into troublesome situations due to his extreme clumsiness.

Siya jumped in her seat as a sudden crash disturbed the silence of the study. She has been so entranced by the book she was reading that the sudden sound caused her weak heart a significant amount of distress. Closing the ancient tome she had been studying, she hugged it to her chest as she cautiously mader way to the origin of the sound. The tall bookshelves and stairs made the study seem like a maze. Stilk getting used to its layout she silently prayed that she did not loose her way. Peaking around a bookshelf, she saw a table covered in many books, and papers fluttered through the air and to the ground. Her keen eye spotted someone on the ground and Siya decided to approach cautiously. If it turned out to be an intruder her book would serve as a good weapon. That thing was a brick. Leaning down, she identified the person as Touma. She had seen him around the study and knew of his name from the Head Alchemist, but never has become acquainted with him. She extended her slender arm to him "Are you alright?" Siya asked, head tilted to the side as she wondered how on earth he'd managed to make such a mess. As far as she could see the only thing he cound have tripped on was thin air. Thinking this, a small smile of amusement crept onto her lips "You've managed to make quite a mess" she gently teased.

The thin man looked around and sighed, why did this always happen to him? He would have to clean up the mess before he got chewed out by the head alchemist.
Suddenly he saw a slender arm reach out towards him. Touma let out an'Eep! of surprise, then looked up to see it was a woman he ha never seen before. Who was she?
"oh... you nearly scared the soul out of me.." he breathed, taking her hand and standing up, his legs trembling slightly.
"Ah, i guess so...it always happens...uhm, are you new here? I've never saw you around..."
The boy's messy black hair was long, it didn't look like he bothered to comb nor cut it as the raven black locks covered on part of his face. He was thin and wore a coat with many other clothes on him to keep him warm, the sleeves were a bit too long for him as well. Touma had slight dark circles under his droopy eyes and he seemed very awkward.
Siya's eyes widened slightly at the sight of blood. Immediately, she reached in the pocket of her robes to produce a delicate handkerchief and offer it to him with a small giggle "I could say the same to you" she smiled, remembering the heart attack she'd almost had. She helped him up and gave him a smile before leaning down to help gather the papers that littered the floor.
"No, I've been here for a while. Though I guess you could say so since I am the newest addition" she replied calmly, briefly remembering why that was so. Sadness momentarily filled her eyes. She stood with an armful of papers, tucking a loose strand of hair into her braid and smiling
"I am Siya Ellenstein, pleased to meet you"
Most recognised her for her surname. It is hard to pass over the name credited to the oldest family of alchemists in Xandra. She was small and slender, making her look quite delicate and frail. As if the wind could carry her away if she wasn't carefull. Her long greyish bond braid flowed down to the small of her back, and she regarded Touma with keen, kaliedoscopic eyes. Averting her gaze a little shyly to the papers in her arms, she keenly glanced over their contents. "Are you working on potions?" she asked eagerly, interested in learning about the alchemy he was performing.

((Plushie, May I join? XD I have my boi Katashi, he's an alchemist {obviously}))
(Yeah you can!)Touma took the napkin gently and nodded. "Thank you very much..." the boy helped to pick up the papers that were on the floor and then looked at her with a very surprised expression.
"You were here before!? oh lord, i never noticed you, I'm sorry. I'm always in the second floor upstairs so i don't see anyone else...and your last name is Ellenstein?" His voice actually held a bit of interest.
"You are part of the Ellenstein family? Well, I'm honored to meet you Siya, I've heard of them many times. My family was small although many were alchemists." Touma paused and his gaze shifted.
"and i'm the last one left" he thought to himself.
"anyways..yes i am, but i found the book. it's the one i tripped on.." he smiled nervously, wiping his black messy hair off his face.
(I wonder if Yurina would be questioned regarding her potions? Either way, she'd never give up the info. The recipes are written in a code or backwards. )
( Yurina is an assassin who has knowledge of alchemy yes. I have a separate oc that's a thief and one who is a bodyguard for a royal visitor.)
Katashi opened the door to the alchemist study with a sigh. He had finally got Kaito off his case. The boy had been following him around for a while after finding out he was an alchemist, and well, Katashi was doing his best to ignore the annoying prince.
He went to find a book and he saw Touma and Lady Ellenstein. He glanced at them before seeing a paper at his foot. They must have dropped this...' he thought. He picked up the paper as well as a book that had fallen off it's self. He placed the book back on it's shelf before turning toward Touma and Siya. He looked at them curiously for a moment before walking over to them. "Is this yours?" he asked. His voice was quiet and a bit rough. He looked very tired and didn't really seem the happiest, but his eyes seemed rather kind. It's not like he hated human interaction, he just didn't like it all that much.

Siya blushed a little and humbly bowed her head a little “I am, though I’m sure you know the name has lost its honor” she smiled a little. There were few alchemists who didn’t know of their treason to the king and punishment of death upon all bearing their name. She only had was spared and respect from the court because she succumbed to the False King willingly. The last Ellenstein.
Tilting her head slightly, she listened to Touma and nodded, feeling happy that there was someone else in the castle she could relate to. Siya started to feel like they had a connection. It was the first time in forever that a conversation with someone had been so pleasant. Looking on the ground at the book Touma had tripped over, she picked it up for him and placed it on the table.
She opened her mouth to speak to Touma when she felt a presence behind them towards the bookshelves. She turned around and her eyes found another man by the bookshelves walking towards them. She blinked when he spoke to them and looked down at his hands which held some of the papers that had scattered to the ground. “Yes they are” she replied softly and took them from his hands and looked at them for a moment, “Thank you” she smiled, looking up at the man she felt she’d seen before in the study and around the palace.

Touma was taken by surprise when he heard katashi's voice, the boy's body visibly flinched at his presence as he quickly turned around. "Th-thank you for helping Katashi, i-I'll be in the second floor.. in my room if anyone needs me"Touma was terrified of katashi more than he was of kallinicus. There was a rumor that the man had burned down a whole orphanage with the kids inside too.... that was something that truly gave him chills.
As Touma went up the stairs his bird, Elynir, was perched at the top of stairs. The bird was black as a raven but talked like a parrot with a mind of it's own. The bird mocked Touma and said "Scaredy Cat!, BUtterfingers!"
Touma whacked the bird with a book and the bird only let out caws and laughs. "Will you be quiet!? " Touma hissed as he tried to move past the bird.
"Touma has a crush on K-!!!!"
Touma gasped and grabbed the bird by its neck. "Don't you dare go there !!" the alchemist's face was beet red.
(( Can you imagine if Elynir had said the whole thing and he had walked in? Touma would have instantly di e d))
(Honestly, I don't think Kallinicus would have cared at all and would have just walked past everyone as if he had not heard a thing xD)
(It might kill him even more if Kallinicus decided to address Touma simply because he needed a report or update on something miscellaneous that they had been crafting, and Kallinicus' voice is just completely straight, calm, and almost deadpan until the point that Touma is no longer necessary and he just walks away without a second thought to his subordinate to work on.. something in his private study.)
((“something in his private study” me: *gets into a fighting stance with a sword.* you better watch yourself Kallinicus.))
(It's Morza that better watch himself if he doesn't want to get caught doing unseemly things.. LIKE SNOOPING AROUND WHERE HE'S NOT SUPPOSED TO. If there's one thing that none of the children should ever mess with.. it's his precious paperwork.)
((Well sorry that my baby is curious. AND I DONT GIVE A DAMN ABOUT HIS PRECIOUS PAPERWORK. IT CAN ALL BURN WITH THE POOR SCREAMS OF MY CHILDREN THAT HE HAS BROUGHT UPON HIM!!!))
(YOU WANT TO BURN HIS PAPERWORK? THEN THOSE CHILDREN THAT YOU SO LOVE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO BURN WITH THEM.)
"No problem.." He said, before looking at Touma curiously. He seemed a bit nervous around Katashi, probably because he heard the rumors. The rumors were somewhat true, but that was years ago.
When Touma left, Katashi's attention was soon brought to the screeching bird. Katashi noticed Touma's reactions to the little bird, which only really confused him more. He turned his head back to Siya. "Hello, Miss. As you've already heard from Mr. Reonsukie, My name is Katashi. You can call me what ever you want though." Katashi said politely, his voice still rather quiet, as though he hasn't used it in for ever.

Siya was surprised when Touma retreated so suddenly when the man approached closer, though when she was the intense red blush that had graced his face and the laughing of the raven she assumed to be his familiar, it wasn’t hard to get a general idea of their relationship. A small smile of amusement crept onto her lips.
Siya Bowes her head a little “I am Siya Ellenstein, and feel free to call me whatever you wish” she smiled. His name was familiar. She’d heard people throw it around in hush gossip, though she hated to hear the rest of it, thus she was unaware of how feared he was.

Touma had walked to the second floor, ignoring the bird who flapped behind him. Elynir was Touma's first experiment, an animal with a conscience....'and a stupid beak' he thought to himself, knowing that the bird he had created was cheeky and mischievous. He felt a bit bad for abandoning Siya but he'd rather stay clear of Katashi...plus, he had things to work on. He opened the door to his room and locked it, many candles dimly lit the space and once your eyes were fixed to the darkness a figure could be seen on the other side of the room.
Elynir perched on Touma's shoulder as the skinny man slowly made his way to the figure, he grabbed a bottle of some weird liquid and started drinking it, coughing a bit into his arm. "How are you sir?"
Finally, it could be seen, a lean man with blonde silver hair and cloudy golden eyes. HIs wrists were cuffed and he looked down at the concrete floor, he didn't want to speak nor to look at the alchemist. (this is Jinha, my rebel spy. ig he got caught)
"Not speaking...? uhm..." Touma fiddled with his fingers and didn't really know what to do. He wasn't in charge of doing experiments on humans so naturally wasn't really used to it, although he had tried everything he could to poke out information out of the cloudy eye man, even torture. "You are a stubborn one aren't you? What am i supposed to do with you know if you won't speak?" The skinny man muttered to himself and twirled a lock of his black hair around his finger, sipping more of the liquid that was in the bottle.
Jinha just sat on the floor, staying silent.
"caw!, i say we kill him"
Touma just shrugged and sat down, looking at the silent man and sipping his alcohol. He only did this because he was ordered too, he never found much interest in torture nor killing. "Not yet, he'll speak soon i guess..."
"breath smells like whiskey! Not good for you ! Pick up your hair too!"

A large room only available to the King and his Alchemists. It is so heavily guarded that some have gotten too curious and have never been seen again. Only those permitted to enter the room have come in and come back out.
