Arthur Schopenhauer discussion

I think you can see an arrogant attitude in Schopenhauer in this essay, possibly from what he felt was unjust criticism.

"The works of genius cannot be fully enjoyed except by those who are themselves of the privileged order."

I think Schopenhauer is lucky that his reputation has increased since his lifetime, or he might come across as too self-assured and bitter.
