Wait...NO WAY. That is way too funny. So I had taken a Disney quiz "which character are you?" and answered according to Kaden as well as I could...and he turned out to be...ARIEL. I was like, "Nope. Nope." But now this song--! Ha! Maybe somehow you could find lyrics to "I Could Show You the World"?

Hannah, that's so weird, and cool. I do love the song, though, Kendra. It's pretty awesome. Do you mean A Whole New World from Aladdin? That would probably make a good Ilyon song. Kendra's really good at this. :)

I'm getting more of a Makilien vibe off of "I could show you the world," but let me mull for a bit and see what I can come up with. Thing is, it's a two character song, and I need to find which two characters fit it best ...

(Sad thing is, I can see Kaden singing that song ... with Kyrin staring and shaking her head because she is NOT going to forget this because he looks so ridiculous ...)

The crazy thing is, now that I think about it, personality-wise Kaden and Ariel are a good bit alike.

This is awesome. You guys are really good at this! I haven't watched The Little Mermaid though. Now when I watch it I'll be looking for Kadenishness when I do... XD

I personally can't see the resemblance. But neither could I see it when a friend thought I was similar to Ariel.

I've never seen it all the way through, either, but I had the song running though my head one day while I was also thinking about Kaden's fascination with dragons and I just went PERFECT. He's also a bit of a naive rebel, which is also very much Ariel, so ... it works.

Little Mermaid isn't the greatest movie, mostly because of the disobedience (though the scene with Sebastian in the kitchen had me doubled over with laughter), but Ariel's defiance and her stubbornness and disrespect for authority are kind of like Kaden. Though Kaden is defiant against evil authorities, and Ariel defies her father. So the comparison kind of breaks down there, but it still sort of works.

I'm not very good at this, and I can't make anything rhyme but . . . I give you: The Characters of Ilyon's “I've Got a Dream.” (Because Tangled and Resistance are like the best things ever.)

Jace:

Obviously not everything applies but I tried. :P (The lines about Holden and the Korvics were purely to be funny and go with the real song. The Korvic brothers... having a puppet show...no. XD) I couldn't think of anything Rayad wants except Jace to know he has a soul, and I couldn't even think of anything that would be funny so I didn't make them push him. XD

So, my youngest sister and I were singing For the First Time in Forever Reprise just now, and we realized how much Elsa is like Jace. They both think they are dangerous monsters, even though they're really not, and try to protect the people they cate about by pushing them away. For the First Time in Forever Reprise really sounds similar to Jace and Kyrin: Jace trying to protect her from himself, but Kyrin refusing to be pushed away because she cares about him too much.

And, by the way, I love that version of I've Got a Dream. Ilyon/Tangled is pretty awesome.

I love this thread. And, I don't think it's Disney, but I was just listening to "Through Heaven's Eyes" from Prince of Egypt and it made me think of Jace. :)

These songs are all so good and such fun! Here's something I wrote, and you can probably tell it's based on Love Is an Open Door. (Except this love song isn't a lie!)

Kyrin: All my life I had this empty feel I just could not escape.

Jace (hesitantly confessing): I've been searching my whole life to find some place
To be. But when you're half Ryrik, what can you do?
Kyrin (reasurringly): But, Jace, with Elom...
Jace: But all this hate...
