For 5.9 Foreign Language or 5.10?
It would work for 5.9. Since 5.10 is a book of your choice that would work there as well

I'm going to change my selection for this. I began reading before September 1st, but it isn't over 500 pages. I was simply going to read it again, but it was far too disappointing to read over. I have written a review of it that can be found here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I'm not sure what book I'm going to replace it with just yet, but I'm sure I'll find one rather quickly.

is this meant to be a completed task post, you need to post in that thread, not the help thread.

Since this task is free choice, any book that fits the general SRC requirements fits. This appears to be fine.

Cait S | 738 comments I just want to double check I'm reading/understanding the rules right before I go ahead and read this. This book has Sequential Art > Graphic Novel on it's main page genre but as it's a 5 point one, it's still acceptable for this task, right?

Stardust by Neil Gaiman

Right, Sequential Art, Comics, Comic Book, or Manga may only be used for 5, 10, and 15 point tasks.

changed my mind...again. I got distracted from the Challenge books by this book 2 days ago, and I couldn't fit it in anywhere else. I Am SpockI Am Spock I Am Spock by Leonard Nimoy

It's great stuff! Totally riveting.

Pia I have a book that I started to read on August 31, abandoned it and now I'm reading it again from the beginning (as I got completely lost in what was happening, LOL!)

Can I use it for this task?

Yes, as long as you started at the beginning again on or after 9/1

Meg (megscl) | 2520 comments Hi, can I clarify - I see that for this task we can read books that are NOT on the AR bookfinder, but can we read a children's book that is on AR bookfinder but doesn't score highly enough to meet the level required for other tasks? e.g. can I read a book that is IL: MG - BL: 4.3 - AR Pts: 3.0?

You could perhaps put it in here:

20.6
OPTION 1. Meet the boys.
The show follows four "nerdy" guys as they make their way awkwardly through life and love: Sheldon, Leonard, Howard and Rajesh.
Read a book by an author who has one of these four names as their first or last name. Names must match exactly, no variations or hyphens.

From the Rules:

ONE book with the IL designation of MG or MY (in UK) with a BL of at least 5.0 OR AR Pts of at least 5.0 will be allowed for ONE 5-point task

The scores in your example do not meet the requirement of at least one 5.0+ score

Ian #5.10 - Independent Study

Last of the books I've read since 1st September
The Room - Amanda Donohue
Doesn't fit any category that I can see so will log it here!
Room

Erika Edwards (erikawithak) | 110 comments Hi! Do books that are marked children's but are under the 5.0 book level requirement work for this? I want to use The Thief Lord with the AR info: IL: MG - BL: 4.8 - AR Pts: 13.0

You may use 1 children's genre book that has at least one 5.0 score per challenge for one 5 point task . The AR points = 13 so that would work for this task if you use your one-time allowance
