Married; atheist, but I like ghost stories as well as the next person; no hats, but if I look like Billy Squier circa 1981 it is a Good Hair day.I've had stories in the latest two Saints and Sinners anthologies, Best Gay Romance 2014, and the current issue of Diverse Voices Quarterly. I have a Wordpress blog (linked here on GR) where I am currently knee-deep in reviewing a short story a day.
I'm down with the rules of this forum, and if I wore a hat it would be off to Gavin for starting this.

Hey! Thank you! :)
Oh, about me. I'm Gavin. Despite innumerable flaws, I am somehow taken. I'm skeptical about 99% of ghost sightings where people see ghosts in wedding dresses or pirate garb. Willing to consider the possibility of orbs if I have to. An experience in an ancient church in Barcelona made me me think, "If I've ever been any place haunted, this is it." It turned out some of the worst crimes of the Spanish Inquisition took place there. As for hats, I have a collection of baseball hats. The leather police hat might be my favorite to look at on someone else though.
Great idea, Steve!I'm Lee, and I've written a few books for Lethe Press (among others). I have an author page on here someplace, so you can ask me anything you like there. My bio is below, so give it a look.
Lee Thomas is the two-time Lambda Literary Award and Bram Stoker Award-winning author of The Dust of Wonderland, In the Closet, Under the Bed, The German, Torn, Ash Street, Like Light for Flies, and Butcher’s Road. Under a couple of other names he has authored several suspense thrillers for young adults, including Mason, Shimmer, and the Wicked Dead series (co-authored with Stefan Petrucha). Lee lives in Austin, Texas with his husband John, and their family of animals. You can find him online at www.leethomasauthor.com.
Hi there. I can has a story in She Who Must Be Obeyed. And in Suffered from the Night (under my real name.) I don't know about ghosts, but I believe in spirits, and not the alcoholic kind. :>)
I'm Jean Roberta. I have a story in She Who Must Be Obeyed, told by my alter ego, Dr. Athena Chalkdust (lesbian academic domme). For the curious, there are 5 stories by Dr. Chalkdust. Most are in volumes of Best Lesbian Erotica (Cleis). I have an erotic novella from Lethe, The Flight of the Black Swan, and a collection of historical lesbian erotica, The Princess and the Outlaw. I believe in spirits -- haven't asked any if they are ghosts. I love black witch hats, but can't wear them to class when I teach first-year English classes in local university. Some students would undoubtedly see the hat as honest advertising.
Oh, forgot to add: I am legally married to a fiery & still-glamorous Latina (age 65) since Halloween 2010. (As most here probably know, same-sex marriage became legal throughout Canada on July 20, 2005.) - Jean Roberta
One more thing: I also have a ghost story in Haunted Hearths and Sapphic Shades: Lesbian Ghost Stories. It features an actual setting, the official residence of every Lieutenant (pronounced "leftenant") Governor of Saskatchewan (local representative of the reigning British monarch). This place is said to be haunted.
Congratulations 3 years 10 months late! :D re: The official residence of the Lieutenant Governors of Saskatchewan--Do you have an opinion on whether or not it's haunted or is it just a good setting for a ghost story?
I can't guarantee that it's haunted because I haven't spent a night there alone, but it looks ghost-friendly. If I were a ghost, I think I would like to hang out there.
Hi Lethe. I'm currently 18 and date anyone that isn't a fictious character haha. I'm a creative writer currently working on a book. I'll put in a short story at the bottom to give a small sense of what the book is about. I hope to connect with more of you guys and gals as well.We Were Once Gods
We were once Gods,
living high in the mountain tops
Free of order, roaming the free land,
The day was young, but it had yet to grow,
Giving time the opening to run aimlessly
But then the day grew old,
Time limited itself, order became my captor
holding me with its bare hands as time marks my new boundaries,
I now sit on a flat land with no ups and downs
Restricted to travel a day's worth abroad my new land,
Never again are we to reach our beloved land
The mountains were high
And the Greenland was low,
Never again we were to access our beloved land,
Foreign to us as we now know it,
But still strong in our roots
To only serve as a reminder to what kind of life we once lived,
As our only option we helped these new Gods grow,
Nurturing the Gods because they remind us of what was once ours,
For we too were once in their land,
As we had fallen from the mountain tops,
They will do accordingly,
Side by side in the land where time age,
No longer in the Mountains where youth persist
For this is the life of us Gods
