Daniel Rowell (dprowell) The Elyrian

Greetings!

I'm a newly self-published author and would love to give you a free copy of my book in exchange for an honest review.
Below I have written the blurb and provided the links to my book on Amazon and Goodreads.

I can provide .mobi or PDF files. I hope to provide paperback in the future, but I currently don't have the budget for it.

"A witch's most powerful tool isn't magic, it's deception."

When Ace Halder discovers Grandpa Marty is hiding a magic stone in a chest on his ancient, Earth ship, the twelve-year-old learns of a power he can neither contain nor understand.

Yutara, home to the few races left of the seven realms, is approaching its demise. The witches have bent the rules of the land to their will--only no one knows it yet.

No one but the Emerson Stone.

These witches aren't the sickly green, wart-faced witches from bedtime stories. They hide in plain sight, and they’re everywhere.

At 97,000 words, The Emerson Chronicles: The Elyrian, is Narnia with hovercrafts; The House of the Scorpion with witch hunters; a coming-of-age, upper MG SciFi/Fantasy story.

Please let me know if you'd be interested in reviewing this book.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

Warm Regards,
D.P. Rowell

Is it really 97,000 words? That's more than twice the size of a normal MG read. Is it really MG?

Daniel Rowell (dprowell) Yes, it’s upper MG. While most MG novels are smaller, scifi/fantasy tend to have larger word counts. There are plenty of books listed in the MG category that have higher word counts. Such as Artemis Fowl, Harry Potter, and The Hobbit.

From memory, I think the early AF, HP conform to the shorter wordcount. JRRT is a law unto himself anyway. But if you think you can get your target audience into your series, great.

Jaylyn (jaylynya101) this book sounds very interesting and I might give it a try sometime soon

Artemis Fowl is over 96,000 words, and as far as JRRT being a law unto himself, that's only true now, after he's been successful. It wasn't that way when he first began publishing.

I did a lot of research about word counts and genre before publishing, and I honestly took a risk and went with my gut. We'll see how it goes, I could definitely be wrong, but I do believe the story fits well with MG readers.
