To introduce myself.4 words that describes me:
-Original
-Driven
-Skeptical
-Independent
My name is Rumell Khan. I am 17 years old. My favourite genre of book is nonfiction and science. Science is my favourite subject and I am particularly interested in Chemistry and how it works.
My favourite colour is orange because it reminds me of a yummy, juicy fruit. I am a vegetarian. I am a Bangladeshi born in Greater Manchester in United Kingdom and my religion is Islam. I have asthma and OCPD.
I am currently studying A-level in Biology, Chemistry, Psychology and Sociology. My education is taken place at Clarendon College. I am also a volunteer at British Heart Foundation. I have attended Hyde Community College for the full 5 years.
I currently live in Hyde, Tameside, Greater Manchester. For my MBTI I am an INTJ. For The Enneagram I am Type 1 and Type 5. From the Jungian Test I am the Sage, For the Instinctual Type I am Self-Preservation.
To me knowledge is a gift from God. My motto in life is: Learn Before You Earn and Pride in Learning, Respect for All.
(Sorry I couldn't reply earlier... I woke up around an hour ago...)My name's Deepthi Shashidhar and I'm an Indian. I'm 13 going 14 on the Third of next month. My favourite genres of books are usually YA, Asian Novels (translations of Korean and Japanese Novels) and Mystery-Thrillers. I also read books if it looks interesting and the reviews are good. My favourite subject is English. I'm also an aspiring author and am planning to write a book online.
My favourite colours are... well, too many. Though the ultimate favourites are Black, Blue, Red and Purple.
I'm an Eggetarian. My religion is Hindu. I used to suffer from Depression and had started going to extreme measures to get rid of the voice in my head at that time.
I'm an Eighth-Grader and have the following subjects: English, Math, Kannada, Sanskrit, Social Studies, Science and Computer. I'm really interested in Photography and Technology. I'm also in Public-Speaking Club at school.
My motto is Live and do Something Worthwhile, or Don't live at All.
My day has been good. I've just tried helping a user about their group. They wanted to make their groups adult only and I helped them with that. I am using my keyboard for navigation since the mouse right click button is broken is acting strange. I am using my college computer. So technology in here is poor and the WiFi is low. It is 10:25 where I am at now. So I am at college. So since you live in India have you been to New Delhi? Do you live there? (It took me 14 minutes to write all that. Lol)
Wow... My time's ahead of yours...I can relate to that... Once my dad's SHIFT button on his laptop had got stuck, and we couldn't even write the password because it was coming in capital letters.
I haven't been there yet, but am planning a visit. I live in Southern India, Karnataka to be precise.
What season is it there?
I'm going down to play badminton, throw ball and also do some cycling. I'll see you after I come back up. :)
Sorry for the delay. I was at my Biology class. That is annoying. Tip: If the shift button gets stuck again you can press the caps lock and it can write small for you. I like to learn about India. It is quite fascinating. The season here is Autumn. Do you like my status update?Have you had the problem when someone tells you that you read too much but you turn into a monster? The thing that tops the lot is when someone says you read too much. I mean, excuse me. There is no such thing as too much books. Me to those who say that: Um... I kind of like reading, thank you very much.
So what is going on your town? Where I am there has been some road work so traffic is a nightmare. The pigeons are doing a pretty good job in populating the Market. It is drizzling outside and it is cold. The weather is miserable. Not quite busy yet very mucky. I am now in my college library.
That's okay, no hurry :)I tried... it was like it (the SHIFT button) wasn't ready to come out at all :(
That's awesome! Autumn's one of my favourite seasons!
Yep, it was good. It reminded me of my favourite book to be honest...
Are you trying to describe me? D:
The things I hate when I'm reading a book:
- someone tells me that I read too much
- someone legit snatches the book out of my hands to see the title of the book
- someone making faces at me when I'm reading books
- someone calling me a bookworm who doesn't do anything else
- someone saying that I don't do any exercise at all (I walk back from school and that's around 0.6 miles or 3 kilometres away from my house, then I go downstairs daily to play either badminton or throw ball, and then cycle for half-an-hour; I also can't sit still and read at home... I keep walking around the house)
City, actually :)
Same... the construction people think it's funny to tear up all the roads at once and reconstruct it... They're almost done, but yeah... you're right on the traffic part.
There is some cyclone kinda thing near southern India, so it's a bit cold at night... The weather in Karnataka's the right type of weather right now... Winter's gonna start by this week, so it's going to be nice and chill.
I can help you if you want to learn about India :)
You're true... it's really fascinating...
I'm at home now... it's almost 10 pm
I am at the local library. I am eating melty sweet chilli crackers. Yes it snows a lot. What are the main attractions of Karnataka? So since 10pm, are you off to bed? my tongue is quite sore.
My librarian isn't allowing us to borrow books :(There are many actually...
Temples, a Bird Sanctuary, the Mysore Palace, Dasara (a festival) celebrations, etc.,
I actually have to go to bed at 9 pm... I don't get sleep then... I kinda have some insomnia...
Have some water, it'll help :)
Alright, I'll message you after I'm back from school, bye
Wow that is amazing, Seems very fascinating. Oh Insomnia isn't good. I kind of have got Hypersomnia. Yesterday I slept at around 7pm and I woke up at 8am. I have a sore throat and I am ill. Thanks I will have some water. I don't even have chocolate with me but I do have some shortbread biscuits. I am ill.I can hear something close. Music. Alone. I am at college now. Dreamy. Dreams will come true. I never cleaned a public toilet and I never will. I am thinking about going to the Shopping centre. I would love to visit a nearby city. I guess I missed a lot. I think I will put an ease to roleplaying.
I do like making characters but I am not fan of roleplaying. But I do give it a try. We shall vote for we want to vote. Owls is a bird I associate with the most. I like mugs over cups and saucers. I don't like line-dancing. Apart from your own city what other city in India would you live?
If there was a book that was turned into a song it would be The Break Dancing Panda Did you know you can customize your update setting of your homepage.
Yup :)Hypersomnia is like the opposite of insomnia, isn't it? It's when the person is tired even after resting for a long time..?
Ohh... take care of yourself... If you still have a sore throat, then take voice rest and have some warm water. Try to avoid really oily stuff.
Do you also like chocolate?
(Lol, no offence, but when you said that you heard music, my thoughts went back to our music rehearsals and i was like, 'did we sing so loudly?!!')
Was it someone singing or an instrument?
Yup, dreams actually do come true...
Same, I'll never give myself an opportunity to do so too.
Enjoy, what do you want to buy?
Which city are you talking about?
I guess we got a bit carried away... *guilty expression saying 'sorry, but i don't regret it*
Hm... do you do role playing very often? That's good that you participate in doing them :)
Same... i guess it's because owls are nocturnal birds..? My spirit animal is a wolf.
I'm also comfortable with mugs, actually.
Hm... tough question... i guess i would live in Mysore or Mumbai or anywhere where it snows. I love snow :)
I'll check out the song... sounded interesting.
Yup. My curious and bored self discovered it one day last month when i was bored.
Oops, i forgot to mention that there are also waterfalls in Karnataka
I just came back from Karate... we had a full weapon class today. My hands and back are aching very badly :(Rehearsals went well. Only thing was that my voice cracked at a high note, because my throat was really really really dry... not noticed by everyone because we were in a group of 17 people
Yes. Hypersomnia is the opposite of insomnia and yes it is when the person is tired even after resting for a long time. Thanks for the water. I try to have plenty of water. I do avoid oily fish and I will. Thank you for the advice. I do like chocolate.Lol that is a funny resemblance since I am from another place and definitely cannot hear music from the opposite end. Funny thought. Almost telepathic. It was singing, I don't what to buy. I think I will buy some DVD but then again I prefer Youtube than DVDs. I am talking about city called Liverpool.
I do like the visual of Liverpool. I think it is glorious. Ha ha. You don't have to regret it since it was funny. Lol. I do little bit of roleplay I don't necessarily enjoy it though. I think it is too much for me. Mysore seems like a beautiful city. Have you been there?
What cities have you last visited in India? Oh that is wonderful. I love waterfalls they are gorgeous to look at. The pain you get from Karate. But it's worth it. I think a nice cup of tea and pain relief is good. Especially herbal tea. Don't forget head massages after doing these exercises. I believe that they are therapeutic.
Good thing that you are enjoying your hobbies. I wish I saw the rehearsals. I bet it went great. Oh cracking throat is definitely a bugger. If I had to live anywhere in my country other than where I live now it would be Leeds. I believe it is a fabulous city. Definitely northern-friendly.
I do like Cambridge too since it is source city of our country of knowledge. Cambridge is famous for it's university as well as Oxford. Imagine a City just only for education. I mean you have a lot of schools and other educational buildings. I think that would be a treat for me. I dislike the city of Kent.
As it is mostly populated with snobby people. Not saying they are all like that but there are more people I know who are like that. Liverpool is populated mostly with people who are chavs and they use a lot of broody slang. Yorkshire people are famous for being loud and confident. I have been to Birmingham before.
I loved it. I think it attracts most Asians, since I have heard it all from the.
Anytime! :)I absolutely love chocolate!!! xD
It sounds unique actually... Telepathy, I mean. Sounds like a wonderful story plot! (sorry, my head works like this because I usually write stories in my free time)
I experience the same thing.
Same. I too prefer Youtube over DVD's. As a matter of fact, I don't have a T.V at home.
I've heard Liverpool before, and the place is wonderful!
Yup, I've been to Mysore too many times! My grandparents actually live there :)
The city is wonderful!!! It's heaven :)
I've visited Shimoga, Mysore, Mumbai, Pondicherry, Yelagiri (a village).
Okay thanks for the advice! I'm sure it'll help. I'll try them after typing this out and sending it :)
Thanks for the rehearsal thing :)
Hm... England really sounds interesting. I want to learn more about it after my exams...
I've always wanted to visit Cambridge and Oxford! Especially because I love English and have a passion for it.
I've read about Yorkshire in a book - I forgot the name - The Secret Garden, maybe? I'm not sure. Anyways, the author too described the people there just as you did... I was always interested in them since then.

Go safely...
I am at home now.I wonder what it would be like to have a city just only for schools. And any primary schools, secondary schools, colleges, universities, private schools, states school, all-boys or all-girls, special schools, nurseries, pre-schools and schools for specific school, and noarding school to be in one city.
Woah... That's a lot of them...I think that the stress teachers put on the students for scoring better - doesn't matter how much they tried - is really bad.
I'm guessing that such a city will be absolutely amazing! It's awesome to just imagine it, just think about having such a city!(Are Oxford and Cambridge places like that?)
I think it would stress teachers. I agree the city will be amazing. Well Cambridge and Oxford are like that. I wish where I am was like that. I do understand Hindi and I can understand the writing. I speak Bengali and it is similar to Hindi. e.g. the ka is just the same, however Bengali is more pointier and Hindi is more rounded. If you have to visit any country in the world where would it be?
Yup, the students too actually...That's awesome! I wish I could visit either of them...
Oh, that's nice... I speak Kannada at home.
How different is Bengali to Hindi when speaking?
I think it would be either Japan or South Korea... I want to visit them.
How about you?
I speak Sylheti. Nearly most words are same. e.g. eat, milk, eggs and sugar are same words. We have 40 Consonant and 11 vowels.I would love to visit Spain and Portugal. I have read only some of your songs. I know couple of them.
That's interesting... Even the name sounds unique, you know :)In Kannada, we totally have 49 letters, which has 15 vowels and 34 consonants. Almost all the words are different in Kannada.
Which Hindi songs do you know?
I know Shah Rukh Khan. I know I have heard about history. I love conversations to do with Japan. Did you know that Sushi is originated from Japan. I don't really like the original sushi but I do like the vegetable sushi because it is authentic and interesting in taste. It is best dipped in soy sauce which is vegetarian-friendly.
Hm... I like Aamir Khan better. I kinda thought Sushi was an un-vegetarian-friendly dish... I would love to try it
I like him too. I am mix of both optimist and pessimist. But i am definitely a realist. My quote 'When you think no one can see you, try wearing bright colours and wear flashing lights to grab someones attention. Don't be a polar bear and blend to your surroundings"
When someone argues over a glass being half-empty or half-full. I will lose my top and just shout 'IT MEANS THE SAME THING!'
Same... I'm a combo of both tooMy quote: "Sometimes I wonder if anyone'll even care about me if something far too worse happens to me"
(I've actually written it in the book I'm writing)
Wow... You and SGM (a short form of my friend's name) are really similar
