Adaption as follows starts out seeming very innocent in a certain degree as it is an easy to start and following characters such as the main characters Reese and David. As it shows how one moment everything is fine with being in an area like Vegas but as lo writes how the tables can turn on end quickly. The book starts with an innocently good event then it slowly takes a dark turn as somehow something is making the birds die so you will follow Reese and David fleeing for there life and here’s hoping nothing bad has happened right? Wrong there are in an accident that causes them to be adapted but they didn’t realize till they were brought home to there parents. But Reese will find out some secretive things regarding what happened to her and David.
I personally enjoy Adaption by Malinda Lo as its very good Sci-Fi and kind of Romance. There were moments that really shined through proving people can be who or what they want to be without harassment. Reese is a wonderful character to follow from the June disaster and being treated from a recent accident and discovering her first lesbian love and being herself without prejudice. But as I kept reading on I felt like she was not seeing the bigger picture as when she meets Amber and dates her. She still doesn’t see the picture till her gay friend Julian shows her that she was experimented on with some type of DNA that isn’t human. Plus, she realizes Juilian was not kidding there were lots of science aspects.
