Sophie | 14 comments Sounds like fun!! As my other persona is already Mrs Darcy on my blog and Facebook I will stick with that, however I will backtrack a bit and become Miss Elizabeth Bennet again! (Assuming it is alright to use an already excising character?) I will come and elaborate soon, but you know what Elizabeth is like already! ;)

Cool, so we'll have a Miss Bennet around! Nice. :) It's completely fine to use an already-existing character, though I personally much prefer creating new ones. Sometime tomorrow I'll try and post up an organised template for creating characters, which should help.

~Name: Lady Eleanore Rayne

~Age: 18

~Appearance: Lady Eleanore is an elegant girl, with a slender figure, clear complexion, shining golden hair and beautiful, speaking brown eyes. She carries herself with a dignified and perfect grace she is unaware she possesses. Something in her face often gives her a quiet air of sadness, and her demeanour is shy but not particularly self-conscious.

description

~Height: 5'6"

~Profession: Has in the past trained to be a governess, but currently has no occupation other than learning how to be a Lady of Quality.

~Friends: None as yet.

~Family: Eleanore has a brother James, who is a Captain in the army. Her mother Lady Amelia Rayne is Countess, after re-marrying to an Lord Edward Rayne, Earl of Carlisle.

~History: Eleanore was born in London, and lived there in her fathers house - one of the grand houses of the aristocracy - until she was eight years old. A quiet child, she was the favourite daughter of her father, but her older and more flamboyant sister Georgiana was by the far the favourite of their mother Amelia. When Eleanore was eight years old both her father and her beloved sister were taken by illness, and as her father had been prone to extravagance, he had gone a considerable way towards dissipating the family's handsome fortune. Lady Amelia, distraught at the loss of her husband and favourite daughter, moved herself and Eleanore to a small country estate, while her son James joined the army. At the country house Amelia became cold and distant towards her least-loved daughter, focusing on the practicing of economy and forcing the young Eleanore to begin training for a governess position.

So for ten years the young Lady Eleanore lived in the country, growing to love the countryside and the beauty of nature around her. She loved to sneak out of the house and read, or to capture in paintings the lovely surroundings of her country home. A clever girl, she learned quickly all the skills expected of a young lady of quality. She could read and write with a clear hand, dance, and play the piano-forte. But her greatest solace was in riding. Whenever the pressures of home became too much, or her mothers coldness hurt her too deeply, she would leave and ride out for a while on her mare, seeking the quiet peacefulness and solitude of the rolling hills.

A few months ago an unexpected change occurred in Eleanore's life. Her beautiful mother had contrived to make a brilliant match, and had married the Earl of Carlisle, once again bringing herself and her daughter back into title and position. Reared for years to expect only the position of a governess, Eleanore has now been torn from her beloved country home, and is preparing for her first Season and her re-entry into the ton circles. Though she is enjoying her new gowns and her step-father is kind and affectionate, the quiet girl is somewhat overwhelmed by her change of circumstances, and deeply misses the tranquility of the country.

~Traits: Lady Eleanore is an unfailingly kind and considerate girl, with an aptitude for dancing, piano, riding, painting and embroidery. She is naturally a little shy, but not generally self-conscious; being in the country she has never been within the eye of the public. She loves flowers and nature, reading and animals - above all, horses. She is quiet for the most part, but she can become animated when talking to those she trusts, or about those subjects on which she is passionate. She is equally happy in her own company as in that of others. While she is mostly well behaved in the eyes of Society, she will openly flout ideals of behaviour to do things like go riding in the park or walking alone - which may be considered a flaw by some.

~Flaws: Eleanore is quick to judge others, and though she rarely voices her opinions, she takes a long time to change her first impression of a person. She is easily angered when others are condescending or insulting towards things she is passionate about or the people she loves. However, she conceals most of her feelings and is slow to trust others with her heart, which can sometimes be damaging to her relationships, when she does not trust someone else well enough to say what she is really thinking. Eleanore is always honest, but will avoid telling people her true feelings by skirting around the issue.

:) @ Everyone: Is it all right if I delete some of the more conversational posts up above, so that this thread is only concerned with characters? We can simply move the conversation topics from here onto the 'General Chitter Chatter' thread, if that's okay with everyone. :)

@ Soph: I've just created a Character Claim thread in this folder, so you can make your application for Lizzy there, just for the group record (of course the application shall be accepted!) and then make your profile for Lizzy here whenever you're ready. :)

Thanks Evie. :) I'll wait for confirmation from the others first, but I'm sure it'll be okay.

Jess | 3 comments Hullo!
I'm just gonna stick my big ole toe in this and give it a try. XD lol
I roleplay with some of my friends, we have a family all set up and happily living up north in England.

Name:Jessamyn Hastings
Age:She was born in 1793, so depending what time we are playing in, her age shall vary.
Appearance: This was made when she was Fourteen
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-qF...
Sorry 'bout that, i'm not familiar with this formatting... She has quite grown up since then, her posture has certainly improved, her hair gone up off her shoulders, and a more constant rose is in her cheeks.

Height: 5'9
Profession: Might i change this to Accomplishments?
XD
Friends:Catherine and Elinor Darwen, Kathleen Primdoe.
Family: Mother and Father, Lucy-Anne is their mother's name. Eldest brother-Anthony, Christine, Catherine, (Jess's Irish twin, Emma, they were born a few months apart.)Madelaine, and Timmy.
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-qN...

This is Emma
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/taK...

History: *Inhales* This story starts when Jess and Emma are sixteen, they are both very silly at this age, very fond of muslin, of dancing, singing, and in general getting whatever they might from their fine life. The Hasting's family was the only very wealthy family about where they lived, the young Miss Hastings often grew desperately bored, despite lessons and learning accomplishments. They would wander and play hither and yon, or host balls for the neighbouring families.
As time goes on, suddenly they founnd the world was able to be explored, and neither of them are often home, Emma prefered France--despite the constant lingering danger. Jessamyn prefered--and still does, spending time in little counties she has not visited before, as well as staying in Bath for many, many weeks. They are both very busy young ladies, each with their own day of boredom, they hate being bored.
Traits: Jess has bright red hair--trait enough. haha
She is often quiet, until you get to know her..and then you are set in an entirely different world--with an entirely different Jess, so ta speak. She's awesome crazy. XP She loves Music, Dancing, New Dresses, *looks around suspiciously* Dancing...Long walks, new people, new situations. A good novel.

Flaws: Her most predominant fault is trusting people entirely too much, following that she has a tendency to get lonely. So she makes it a point to always be busy with someone.

I hope i did this all right, haha XD And not too Terribly boring.
