You find that The Speed of Light is a very easy read, enjoyable to anyone. The book contains just one equation! It is an introduction to major discoveries about light. The book will be very entertaining to the Science and Inquiry group.

This sounds like an interesting book. Unfortunately, it hasn't been published yet! Please re-nominate it again, several months after it has been published.

Aurelien, we read "The Age of Wonder" several years ago here. It is an excellent book, and I recommend that you read it. Here is a link to our discussion of the book.
Your second nomination "Ingenious Pursuits" also looks fascinating, and we will include it among the nominations.

Oh! Thanks for the link! Next time, before nominating books I will check if you read them already ;-)
May I suggest my book 'Lines of Space - Source of Fundamental Forces and Constituent of all Matter in the Universe", which has gotten good reviews and is considered a good book for teaching physics as Diana Loera, one of the top 500 reviewers at amazon has last week said about it- "Excellent way to present Physics and make it easy to understand." Heart of Darkness: Unraveling the Mysteries of the Invisible Universe, Jeremiah P. Ostriker"... as scientists confront the mysteries of the ultimate causes of cosmic structure formation and the real nature and origin of dark matter and dark energy."
Might I suggest something off topic from the universe but as complex and as unknown. This author writes for the reader and brings forth obscure ideas supporting his work with actually research. He is ironically a theoretical physicist though... Published February of this year so it should be available to all by now due to his popularity. The Future of the Mind: The Scientific Quest to Understand, Enhance, and Empower the Mind Good day all.

You may of course suggest a book that has been nominated before but didn't win.
Please do NOT nominate a book that was first published within the last three months. Newer books may not be available to all members.
Nominations will close on August 22 or when we have about ten good suggestions, whichever occurs first.
You may nominate more than one book if you wish, but we may not include all of your choices unless there are not very many other nominations within the time allotted.
