Luke (korrick) | 2004 comments I know I have a number of books that work for this, so I'll figure it out later.

Luke (korrick) | 2004 comments Titles that could work
King Hereafter - Dorothy Dunnett
Pachinko - Min Jin Lee
The Night Circus - Erin Morgenstern
Slammerkin - Emma Donoghue
The Invisible Bridge - Julie Orringer (this works for a number of the other tasks so I feel it is going to get read, long as it may be)

I'm sure there are many others, but five is a good number for now.

Carol (carolfromnc) My sweet spot for this category is historical mysteries. Madhulika Liddle has written a series I haven't tried yet and would like to in 2019. Book one is The Englishman's Cameo in her series featuring the 17th century Mughal detective, Muzaffar Jang, but I might start with book 4, Crimson City. These would also work for the mystery/thriller and South Asian author tasks.
