The main characters in Contemporary Romance novels are usually in their 20’s or younger even though the target audience may be significantly older. Do you prefer protagonists who are close to your own age, or doesn’t it matter to you? Natural Disasters, A Love Story

As I get older I find it refreshing to read about older couples. (over 30). There are some great authors who write older couples. I normally avoid books where the couple is really young. Teens and early 20s.
I can definitely relate, Pamela...the older I get, the more I'm interested in the experiences of seasoned adults; reading about them expands my own journey.
Everything matters including age. But knowing how it matters is the problem. I like many people have tried to imagine what it would be like to be older. It's not what I thought. Hypothesis is a parlour game disguised as an intellectual pursuit which prevents us from living in the proverbial moment. Conjecture is amusing but not as useful as we think. Age matters, but not as we suppose.#animprobablepairing
