Wren was quietly perched on a seat all by herself as she toyed with a Rubik's Cube whilst waiting for her order to arrive.
Alice walked in the diner. She wasn't able to cook for herself this time because she forgot to shop that morning. She sighed, looking for a place to sit in the crowded place when she spotted Wren, alone in a booth.
Lucky! she thought.
Walking over to Wren, she took a seat and grinned at her.
"And so we meet again, Nerd."

"And so we meet again, Nerd."
Wren could only control herself from jerking again when she heard a familiar voice distract her out of the blue, prompting her to let out a mere surprised gasp before she lowered the cube.Glaring daggers at Alice because of the nickname, she answered, "And what brings you here, Princess?"
She was out of ideas for a nickname to suit the girl.
She laughed out loud again at the girl. She really was amusing.
"Maybe you should start paying attention to your surroundings more. And Princess? Really? Some originality you got there, Nerd." she teased and relaxed on the chair.

She gave a roll of her eyes at the girl."I really wasn't exactly expecting someone. Least of all, you. And yeah, princess. You know- gold hair, fair skin, green eyes. You remind me of Sleeping Beauty, that's why."
She sighed at the girl's irritation.
"I guess your boyfriend didn't show up for your date? Is that why you're so irritated? Then don't worry, Alice the friend is her to save the day." she flashed her a grin and put her elbow on the table, head on her hand.

Wren shot her girl a lethargic look as she placed the cube on the table."FYI, I'm single as a pringle and not ready to mingle." she remarked.
"Whatever, Princess. Are you here to eat or just bug me, anyway?" she asked, arching a brow back at her.
She snorted at this and held her hands up in surrender.
"Fine, Nerd. I was about to eat but, I could do both." she said, a twinkle in her eye. She signaled for the waiter, contemplating on what she would eat.

"Nerd? Really? Well then, what do you for a living?" she asked, her curiosity piqued by the matter."Call me whatever you like but there still is something inside a balloon." she retorted, slightly smirking.
She sighed, caught.
"Fine. I work for my parents. They own a business of some sort. And no. I know there's something inside a balloon. I'm not stupid." she rolled her eyes and told the waiter her order. He scurried off to the kitchen and her gaze was back to Wren.

"You work for your parents but you don't have an exact idea what kind of business they're running? Really?" Wren asked, beginning to tinker with her toy again."Good to know you went through middle school." she jokingly said.
She shrugged.
"I'm just their messenger so I don't exactly know what's up with their business. And yes, I was only pretending to be stupid cuz you looked like you were about to jump off a building. Might as well save a life by embarrassing myself a bit." she laughed and looked out the window, observing the busy lives of the people outside.

Wren gave Alice an look of disbelief at the girl's words pertaining to the previous day."I think 'silently musing about life' suited the situation better." she chuckled. "Did I really look I was thinking about jumping off a building then? How nice of you though, Princess."
She chuckled.
"Yeah, you did. So what happened? For you to go in a park and attempt suicide?" she asked, relieving the time when she approached Wren at the park.
"Yeah, you did. So what happened? For you to go in a park and attempt suicide?" she asked, relieving the time when she approached Wren at the park.
Wren gave a shrug of her shoulders."Was just thinking about the typical stuff about one's dramatic life," she answered, emphasizing the word 'dramatic'.
"Lots of problems on my hands but not enough to make me think about suicide, luckily." she added, smiling at the girl.
"Funny of you to think of cheering me up though. A complete stranger... That's rare these days."
She chuckled, bringing her eyes back to the girl.
"Oh well, what can I say..." she trailed off and shrugged.
"Oh well, what can I say..." she trailed off and shrugged.
"You know, could've been fine though if you hadn't given me the ring which was a total fail." Wren then reminded her, teasingly.
She rolled her eyes but smiled.
"I know. It was a total waste of money, freaking defective." she laughed.
"I know. It was a total waste of money, freaking defective." she laughed.
"What was it supposed to do anyway?" Wren asked out of curiosity as a waiter arrived to place her order on her table and her chosen beverage.
"I told you. It was supposed to electrify you." she said and began eating once the waiter place her food on the table.
