... Things that make you go hmmm - it could be inexplicable things people do or just weirdness you've come across and wanted to copy Spock and say "Fascinating."

So, on the Kindle, there's this feature you can turn on or off which allows you to see where others have highlighted a text. More often than not, I'm puzzled by the choices in highlighting, mostly because they just don't strike me as being interesting quotes or really relevant to the conversation between characters. It's an interesting phenomenon.

Actually that is fascinating, Lori. I've often wondered at the highlighting and concluded that in general the passages are moral exhortations or "wise words" to remember or to quote.Preston wouldn't find it fascinating because he doesn't like Kindle :-)
Isn't it a bit weird of paint companies to provide large-size color samples of paint on websites so you can choose exactly the right color for your new decorating scheme?1) who has (these days) a correctly color calibrated screen/tablet/phone?
2) How bright is said screen?
3) What gamma setting is the said screen set to?
4) Screen color representation is affected by the level of ambient light in which it's viewed.
Sorry, but ancient analog technology, the old fashioned color swatch is the only reasonable answer.

Works for books from the library too. Though I get a kick out of the penciled-in corrections ...
