Blue Is the Warmest Color is a good choice here. It's about lesbian love in a society that's shuns homosexuality.I picked The Complete Strangers in Paradise, Volume 1, a comic that I have wanted to read for a while. I enjoyed Moore's other works, so I have high hopes for it.
And I eventually gave up on Strangers in Paradise in favor of Habibi. It's a massive book with plenty of religious elements, but ultimately an epic journey forced onto a couple of characters which will challenge their belief in God, humanity and themselves. Their feelings for each other will keep them going through all sorts of hardship, including a long separation, until they are reunited by the end.The story is not for everyone, since it features nudity, rape and violence. And it's long AF, but still worth it.
