(They are actually extremely dangerous, but it is definitely a gorgeous landscape to those that don't have to travel through it xD The second reason why it's called the "Scorch" Dunes is because of how the hours of the day stretch on for an abnormally long period of time, causing the sweltering and life-threatening high temperatures to stay what they are for longer. Though the first reason is simply because of how the dunes have that nice scarlet-orange burnt color to them :3)
