Horrors & Abominations: 24 Tales Of The Cthulhu Mythos HORRORS & ABOMINATIONS: 24 Tales Of The Cthulhu Mythos by Mark McLaughlin & Michael Sheehan, Jr.
US: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1791560520/
UK: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1791560520/
Enter a midnight world of grotesque creatures and ancient deities from nightmare dimensions. HORRORS & ABOMINATIONS by Mark McLaughlin and Michael Sheehan, Jr. presents 24 stories of Lovecraftian fantasy and horror.
Learn the unholy secrets of such malevolent beings as Cthulhu, Yog-Sothoth, Nyarlathotep, Azalareon, Mother Hydra, the King in Yellow, and Yagdolak. Discover the evil activities of the Tillinghast and Delapore families … wicked Mrs. Veng and her horrendous tenant, Dr. Brandywine … and the unspeakable, mutated son of King Tutankhamun.
Stories in this collection include “Deathless Bride Of The Crawling Chaos,” “The Abominations Of Nephren-Ka,” “Coins From Y’ha-nthlei,” “The Blasphemy In The Canopic Jar,” “The Curse Of The Tillinghasts,” “The Colossus In The Catacombs,” “The Nightmare In Delapore Tower,” “The Thing From Beyond The Living Door,” “The Gateway To Carcosa,” “The Testament Of Cthulhu” and many more.
These stories represent many of the writing duo’s most unearthly Cthulhu Mythos tales. So far, the majority of these stories have only been available on Kindle. HORRORS & ABOMINATIONS has been released for readers who prefer paperbacks. These stories were selected from seven Kindle collections previously released by McLaughlin and Sheehan: THE TESTAMENT OF CTHULHU, THE CREATURE IN THE WAXWORKS, THE RELIC IN THE EGYPTIAN GALLERY, SHOGGOTH APOCALYPSE, THE BLASPHEMY IN THE CANOPIC JAR, THE HORROR IN THE WATER TOWER, and THE ABOMINATIONS OF NEPHREN-KA.
Most welcome to the group Mark. You could also post in 'Introduce yourself' & 'Book excerpts' for more interaction from the group members.

Just a little mention of my poetry memoir Small Town Kid
. In this last week it managed a #1 in its category for the best part of a day on Amazon. On the back of the e-book, I think.
Personal sales have been going really well, also. Not bad for poetry in this day and age, I think.
Quite delighted.
Grasshopper wrote: "Congratulations Frank.Well done."Thanks Grasshopper. I was well chuffed, and the book is selling well in person.
Already disappeared though. Online the sales are fickle.
Grasshopper wrote: "Perhaps twas a Christmas miracle then.🤗"At least I caught it on a Screenshot.
Makes it a little more real.

And so fleeting, Cage. If I hadn't noticed at the time and taken a screen shot, I wouldn't know.
Now? I want my banner!! LOL

Seriously enjoyed the Old Woman and teh Mad Horse, Cage. I'll check out others as I get a moment. I'm a very poor e-book reader, though. Might be a while before you hear anything.

It gives some hope, as well as a message of confirmation about directions being pursued.
I have always had niggling doubts that the strength of my belief in being able to do proper communication in a more-or-less self-developed poetic form might be completely misplaced. (Where goes the revolution, if that were the case).
It's a wonderful affirmation. As is the support of folk who have found me along the way and given such wonderful encouragement.
Cage wrote: "Me, too! Need to get one of those thingies one day ... but at least e-reading is much cheaper (especially in Aus) than solid, hold-in-your-hand books!"Sure is.
Yes, perhaps a proper device might help LOL.
I actually have written 54 books as I finish my 6th year of the craziness. Here is one of them. As more women go missing, the sheriff asks Andi to help with the search. Is that because she can see spirits? And will that gift help?
Grab the 2.99 e-book (Also on Kindle Unlimited)
or 10.99 paperback to find out. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01...

“What are we doing here, Tobias?” I ask.
“I have some business with my friend Derrick who owns the place,” is all he says. It’s the only hint he gives me. Like it’ll satisfy me.
“What kind of business?” I hedge.
“The noneya kind,” he quips back.
“Ooh, you’re lucky I don’t haul off and smack you upside the head.” I warn him just as a man around our age comes walking out of the main house.
“Stay in the truck. Please.” Tobias demands, but he does nicely, so I decide to follow his orders. This once. I’m normally not one to follow the rules since breaking them to follow my dreams.
He must be picking up an animal. Why else would he have the trailer attached to the truck?
As I’m thinking this over, he comes back to the truck and asks if I’m ready to go meet my surprise.
“Do you want to meet Fighter before taking her home?”
“Fighter?” Hmm…not the name of the zebra.
“Yeah, it’s what I named her. I hope you don’t mind,” he says.
“I’m as ready as ever. Curious as all get out.” I let him know.
“Derrick is going to lead us to her and then if you like her, she’s yours. I bought her for you this afternoon. Unless of course, you don’t want her.” He says sheepishly.
“Oh, I’m sure I’ll want Fighter, whatever she is.”
He opens my truck door and helps me out, leading me over to his friend Derrick, quickly making introductions before we’re led to a heated barn.
“She’s kept in here with some other high-risk rescues. I’m only letting her go because I know you’re a veterinarian, Janie Lynn. Even then it took a lot of convincing on Tobias’s end for me to let her go. She’s already suffered so much, but I know you’ll give her a good home,” Derrick says as he opens the stall door to Fighter.
Holy shit.
Tobias bought me a zebra.

I started writing poetry at 9 after reading Edgar Allan Poe in the secret of my room. I've always thought everybody tends to celebrate his genius ofrom a literary point of view which is good but sometimes reductive as people then get interested more in the circumstances of his death than getting to know the real struggle he had to face during his life. So what I tried to do is dealing with his inner and personal point of view as far as I could learn from the research I did in the past years. This is a gothic/classic horror novel from the perspective of the great master that I decided to write to celebrate his delicate and powerful mind.

Sounds very interesting, James. Edgar Allan Poe was one of my very first favorite writers. His work just sounds like music to my ears and I have always enjoyed reading it out loud. Made for a weird kid since I was like 7 years old when one of my teachers read Annabelle Lee to me, and I just loved it.
Well I was brought up on Shakespeare and reading lines from Macbeth at 4! My father was great at dramatically reading and had me working on memorizing lines also. I was very blessed to have some pretty amazing teachers in school who understood I had an old soul and they fed that.

Sweet Bitter Cane was released this week. Sweet Bitter CaneOne woman. Two men. A war.
Twenty-year-old Amelia marries Italo, a man she’s never met. To escape an Italy reeling from the Great War, she sails to him in Far North Queensland to farm sugarcane. But before she meets her husband, she’s thrown into the path of Fergus, a man who’ll mark the rest of her life.
Faced with a lack of English and hostility from established cane growers, caught between warring unions and fascists, Amelia’s steady hand grows Italo’s business to great success, only for old grudges to break into new revenge. She is tested by forces she couldn’t foresee and must face her greatest challenge: learning to live again.
Sweeping in its outlook, Sweet Bitter Cane is a family saga but also an untold story of migrant women – intelligent, courageous and enduring women who were the backbone of the sugarcane industry and who deserve to be remembered.
