Entwined with You question

When I read this book I was hoping for answers instead I got more problems. I was mainly hoping that Ace would try and put effort to change a little judging by Eva confronting actions he'd seen in reflected in you. But that never happened which was the biggest DISAPPOINTMENT. Yeah yeah I know he has become even more affectionate and can show his love more than before. That's the main reason I gave the book for stars because the characters are still great , its still steamy but that's it. Ace never changed he is not open with his WIFE anyway a thought came to me today this never came when I was reading the book. Because when your reading the book you go in Ace mode you get shaded coloured glasses because Ace character likeable. What I was thinking was Ace stabbed Eva step brother just like that. Yes the step brother deserved it but Ace killed someone yet his subconscious has accepted that very easily HOW?. Ace never talks or clears out his feelings that's how he faces so many problems which he is getting help with I do remember but he ain't gonna tell his psychiatrist in a session "oh btw I killed someone " . Plus Eva doesn't mention it either apart from gratuitous. I understood the situation i as a reader thought oh he loves her so much but now come to think about it just doesn't sit well with me. He should have some reaction to it and Eva should be concerned but nope nothing.
