Plus Eva doesn't mention it either apart from gratuitous. I understood the situation i as a reader thought oh he loves her so much but now come to think about it just doesn't sit well with me. He should have some reaction to it and Eva should be concerned but nope nothing. ..."

Whose Ace? Do you mean Gideon?
Gideon killed her step brother because he was getting ready to kill/kidnap/rape Eva again. It really didn't make me think less of Gideon. He was protecting her.
The question now is who covered up the whole scene?

Do I think Gideon should have any remorse on killing Eva's stepbrother. I don't think he would. He is use to getting what he wants and protecting what is all his at any costs

I may have the wrong series, but I think Eva calls Gideon Ace....so that may be where she is getting Ace from.

Eva calls Gideon Ace it's a reference from some book, I forgot which. I did expect a few more things to be covered in this book (actually I expected it to be finished since it was suppose to be a trilogy but ya know...)

I think Sylvia added unnecessary drama to fill up solutions in the next two books. Hopefully by book 4 the majority of the drama will be solved and book 5 can be everyone's HEA.

Ace was the character in her favorite book. She mentioned it when they went away for the weekend, after the concert where she kissed Brent. She never mentioned what book it was.

I wish she would hurry up with the books. It must of been way over a years now!!!

Yes I have been thinking about who covered up for Gideon? In my wildest dreams I can't figure out who? I had this discussion with my boss because we formed our own two person book club. I thought maybe Angus because he was British special forces or something like that, but then I thought it was Clancy because he has been bugging Eva's watch, makeup compact etc. then there was thought Stanton her step dad hired someone.

To make comment about crossfire being a trilogy, I have always known it was going to be 5 books. I saw Sylvia interviewed about it. Where my frustration lies is with the fact that we have had to wait so long for CBY #4 and I hope that isn't because Lionsgate deal to develop into a series is screwing with Sylvia's progress in writing. Sylvia said she would be a script consultant to stay true to the characters and their story. I love Sylvia and I mean no disrespect but she is traveling so much I don't know how she gets any writing done. I see she has posed with pics on her FB with all my other fave authors.

Oh yeah and btw I hope Sylvia finishes the series before the Lionsgate series comes to TV or the big screen!
