Anyone considering a 2019 reading challenge? I think I'm going to have a small one, just books I want to be sure to read within one year. Then I'll still have plenty of time to read lots of other books as well.

Linda | 190 comments I've learned my lesson and won't be challenging myself to read my older books this year. It never happens! I'll stick with my regular 52 book challenge for the year since it's obtainable.

I couldn't agree more about learning a lesson. It's not as much fun if you HAVE to read something. So I was thinking maybe 10 specific titles out of the 52 unspecified books over all. But then we have the 12 titles for Literazzi, most I haven't read yet. So on second thought, maybe I'll just specify one--Becoming by Michelle Obama.

Linda | 190 comments Sounds like a plan. I'll pick ONE too - Unsheltered by Barbara Kingsolver.

Pamela Mikita | 10 comments I never thought about any specific books being part of my reading goal, I never know what I’ll feel like picking up. The only genre I read specifically is a nonfiction on Black History.

Linda | 190 comments Christine and I were moaning and groaning about having too many old books on our bookshelves that we hadn't read. We challenged each other to read a specific number of those in the coming year. Perhaps that would motivate us? We learned there's apparently some weird reason we hadn't read them, as we STILL haven't read all of them. Silly old challenge.
