McKenzie (literarydragonreviews) | 2 comments Hello everyone!
I have recently become an MLIS degree holder and am currently putting in applications for my first library job. I completed a 90 hour practicum this summer, but I don't have any other library experience. I hope to work part-time in the community college library and volunteer at the public library or the school library. However, I would like to continue to learn on my own as well. So my question is:
What books have you all read that you feel made you better equipped as a librarian? This can be in any area of librarianship.
Thank you in advance

Karen | 1 comments Two areas that I have found very important (that were not covered in much detail during my MLIS) are marketing, and planning and running programs and events. You may find advice on these topics through tweets and discussion groups online, as much as in books. Good luck!
