Stephen walked into the bakery. He was hungry. But what he was really interested in was the cakes and pastries that were on the display. He liked the art and creativity that was put on the design in the cakes. It definitely held a meaning, a message to Stephen. He absorbed the creativity. As he was mesmerised by the imagination Stephen clicked back to the real world. He then went towards the counter. He wasn't great with speaking up and talking or such. As the baker came by and asked what he wanted, Stephen flustered and couldn't able to decide what he wanted. He really didn't. He didn't know if he could by either. And talking to the Baker rocketed to more concerns. Suddenly he made up his mind and stood up to his grounds.Stephen: I want that one please.
Yuki sighed and walked into the bakery. She waved to one of the costumers she knew from school. "You got tricked into doing his chores again, huh?" The girl asked. Yuki nodded quietly. "Dang! I hate that brother of yours. You practically run the brand by yourself and then he continues to use Akiko as an excuse to get away from chores! On your day off too! Once I get my hands on him, I swear!" The girl huffed angrily. "It's fine Lilith.. Akiko wanted to play with him. I don't mind doing little chores like these." Yuki said, trying to calm the girl down. "You need to stop being such a pushover, Yuki! Your the co head of Thunderchords for freak sakes!" The girl known as Lilith scolded. Yuki just laughed nervously as the girl beside her joined as well. "She's right." The girl said. "Not You too Abby!" Yuki whined as the two began to tell her off. Yuki eventually managed to zone them out though. She found her eyes traveling around the room until she saw Stephen. 'Hm? I've never seen them before...' Yuki thought. Suddenly her phone started ringing and it startled her. She took it out quickly and accidentally dropped it. You could practically hear the phone crack throughout the bakery as it fell on the ground. Yuki flinched at the sudden noise. "That phone was expensive...." Yuki mumbled, picking up the now shattered phone.
After Stephen bought what he wanted, he thought it was best if he went back. As he turned he spooked in fright but then realised it was just people.Stephen: please don't scare me like that.
Stephen held a face and looked away. He then went. He didn't like the appearance of the people. They weren't that good looking.
Yuki got the pastries she came for and walked out, after saying goodbye to her friends. She let out a long sigh. "Keeping up appearances is too troublesome..." Yuki mumbled. She saw the same boy from earlier and decided to go greet him. "Hello, Mr!" She greeted as she walked over to him.
Stephen looked left and right. Was this person talking to him? Well who else is in his direction.Stephen: oh. Hello.
"Hello! I've never seen you here before, What's your name?" Yuki asked curiously. She up at the taller man, clearly curious. She's constantly been giving the lecture about not talking to strangers by her brother, but she never particularly cared. If she was curious, she was curious. If she had questions, she'll get answers. If she gets assaulted, she'll scream on the top of her lungs as loud as she can.
"Yukino Kiera Cadwell, the one and only Future Ruler of the entertainment world! You can call me Yuki though." Yuki introduced herself, making her introduction a bit dramatic. First impressions always mattered. And well, she didn't really want to be seen as some stuck up heiress. Heiress, yes, stuck up, no way. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Stephen."
It was quite a surprise that someone was willing to talk to him. He wasn't as loud and assertive as his brothers were. He did not wish to reveal that he was a prince. He didn't want to make the conversation based on him. He decided to relax and calm down. He grabbed his stuff and was about to leave. 'It was a pleasure to meet you too. I better go now.'
"Ah... well. Bye, Mr. Stephen. May our paths cross again." She hummed happily. Her phone buzzed again and she turned it on. It had a huge crack on the screen from dropping it earlier, but she didn't seem to mind. She checked the message and replied quickly before turning the phone off again and putting it in her pocket. "Looks like I have some matters to attend to anyways. See ya, Mr. Stephen." She said, before leaving the bakery.
((What Do you mean reveal that he was a prince? I didn’t think there was royalty.. I always assumed it was just some sort of title. In shows sometimes they will say a certain guy is so perfect they call him a prince, regardless if he is actually one. Is he like that?))
Emily Baker was a normal 9 year old girl. She was just sliding a batch of still warm cherry pastries into the glass case when a customer jingled the lone chime above the weatherd and scratched door. "Mama," She automatically called to the back before she glanced up. She recognized the long golden locks of hair immediately and jumped up to greet her best friend. "Nevermind, Ma, it's just Ruby." She brushed the flour off her hands and began to gather the Wedsrop's normal weekly order, one loaf of bread and three bagels. Their family took the simple things to save money and always chose bagels as a treat for Ruby and her two brothers instead of cookies or sweets. "So what are you up to now?" Emmy interrogated as she wrestled with the paper bag.
"Nothing!" Ruby denied, "Why are you always so suspicious?!"
"I know that face. You're doing something today."
She rolled her eyes, defeated "Alright, I am. But you'll never believe it." Emmy had a feeling she would; her nosy friend was always getting into the wrong things. "I am going to Mida's house."
Emmy's brain went on hyperdrive, "MIDA'S HOUSE?! Are you INSANE?! Of all your troublemaking, horrible, expeditions, you come up with THIS? Freeing the southwest courtyard's sheep, that was crazy. Switching bean sprout seeds with turnips, which was the only crop for a week, that was crazy. Making Professor Brentney think there was a cow in the room, that was crazy. THIS is INSANE! It's not just a house, Ruby, it's a mansion, practically a castle! There's guards, you could be seen. You'll be in so much trouble!""Relax!" Ruby interrupted "It's not like I'm going to barge in on one of her Officially Official meetings. I just want to see what it's like to be rich and have all the power in Utopia! Wouldn't that be sooooo cool?"
"No."
"Come on.....pleaaaaaaaase?" She began to beg. "Emmy, your my bestest friend!"
"You really are starting to sound like a child now."
"Oh, stop being mature you're so coming anyway." Ruby retrieved the brown bag of guten off the counter and headed for the door.
"No, I really can't, the-"
"Your parents can handle the bakery." She cut across again, "Come on, it'll be fun!" and Ruby's blond curls disappeared out into the chilly snow.
Emily hesitated tied between her choices. She really shouldn't. What crazy person would? She was sensible enough to mind her own business, surely.
But Ruby....she was sure to get herself caught with all that curiosity and crazy ideas in her head. Emmy threw off her apron, grabbed her long, thick coat and slipped through the door and off along the cold winter streets.
((if this were a TV show: close on doorknob, we hear the door's chime ring))
