Each month we will give you a list of 50 themed words to find in your books.

*There is no limit to how many words you can get per book.
*For each word please post a link to the book, the author, the date you finished it, plus the page number/location and sentence where you found the word.
*Any reasonable forms are accepted.

EXAMPLE -
Apple - A Touch of Ice - L.J. Charles (1/10/16)
I had a weakness for apple pie, heavy on the cinnamon... (loc. 245)

Any genre/format is fine.
Re-reads are OK.
No page minimum.
To count a book towards the challenge you must read the majority of it after the start date of the challenge.
Please post a partial list of the challenge when you sign up.

At the end of the month please re-post your whole challenge as a new message so that we can award your Hall of Fame badge!

(Even if you don't hit the level you were aiming for, you can still claim a badge for the words you did get.)

I'm in

44/50

Whiteout (Unexpected, #1) by Ann Grech (1/2/19)

8. Cloud - A cloud descended over Reef's features. (loc 521)

17. Food - Food, beer and a band were top priority. (loc 169)
21. Grow - "Grow the fuck up, man." (loc 1370)
23. Hotdog - Reef soon let go of the hotdog and reached for Ford's hair, spearing his fingers through the curls and holding Ford in place while their tongues tangled. (loc 2022)
25. Lake - Pulling into a parking lot in town, he walked to the lake, his footsteps crunching on the gravel at the water's edge. (loc 1429)
31. Park - Reef parallel parked the SUV Momma Bear had booked for him in the on-street park a few doors down from the bar Ford had directed him to. (loc 1003)
35. Pop - "I'm waiting for an elf, a wizard and a fuckin' gnome top pop out in front of me." (loc 365)

·Post 34 *FINISHED*

45/50
BEAN - #8 (loc 3252, 77%)
"Your beans were a big hit, by the way. Who knew you could sauté?" "Told you i wasn't helpless in the kitchen." "Everyone says that. Then they end up crying in a corner."
BEARS - #1 (loc 2999, 47%)
Oversized, larvae-eating, easily startled, toe-playing, carcass-stealing bears! His sister deserved a nice, solid lion…well, maybe not a lion. A tiger? No. He detested tigers. A mountain lion? Eh. Perhaps a full-human? He rolled his eyes at the thought, but at least a full-human was easily controlled.
BEEF - #7 (loc 2508, 66%)
He hoped it was roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy. Auric was an excellent cook.
BIG - #1 (loc 721, 11%)
"Her feet are as big as yours." "The bigger the feet, the bigger the tits."
BOYS - #4 (loc 1222, 29%)
"It's been a long time since i had to talk boys with my youngest. I have to say…it's making me quite nostalgic."
BULLS - #8 (loc 3353, 80%)
"I'd rather set myself on fire and let pit bulls tear my carcass to pieces than be an Alpha." "You know, Ulrich, most people just say no."
CITY - #9 (loc 7189, 89%)
"Ja, but this is like a dead city." Henrik looked around. "These aren't graves; they're coffin-houses."
CLOUD - #5 (loc 2657, 32%)
"Or did you not back up to the cloud?" Oh yeah. I had.
COMEDY - #11 (loc 1184, 22%)
"Anything else, Ma, or can I leave you to the comedy stylings of your teammates?" Smug and ungrateful.
COURT - #6 (loc 4552, 91%)
I grimace because even though her public execution for treason is on the Court of Hearts' schedule…I want to cancel it.
CROWN - #4 (loc 3396, 81%)
"What are you wearing?" Ezekiel asks on a long breath, even as his own grin grows. The shirt has a picture of my missing crown on it, and a promise of a reward if found and returned to me in perfect condition. Have to be careful with the wording in hell. Even if I didn't just know that, I'd still know it.
CUBS - #1 (loc 1879, 29%)
Nothing like watching all those eight-year-old cubs and pups vaulting themselves twenty to thirty feet in the air and then screaming on the way back down because they had no real idea yet how to land properly.
DEEP - #10 (loc 1659, 44%)
"So when I go to carry out your rule-breaky task, I might get caught. When I'm caught, I can't be like 'I'm above the rules. I am the rules'," I mimicked, putting on a deep, moody baritone.
DIBS - #4 (loc 3065, 74%)
But…it is my color. I've already called dibs. Apparently, I've waited five hundred years for it, so it's clear I have dibs.
DISH - #6 (loc 4611, 92%)
"I didn't get to eat much of it; the damn dishes kept sprinting off to join the dance."
FIELDS - #10 (loc 2273, 60%)
By the time we landed in the fields where the pantera lived, my butt was numb.
FOOD - #1 (loc 3836, 60%)
"We will not feed you, bear. We don't have enough food. You and the cat must starve."
FOUNTAIN - #10 (loc 504, 15%)
There was a small marble fountain at the centre, with a few birds perched on the edge, grooming themselves in the spray of water.
FRIENDLY - #8 (loc 2291, 54%)
Deciding it would be better to talk to Ric when he wasn't being such a snobby prick about a friendly little brawl in the middle of the office, Dee stepped away from the desk.
GATE - #7 (loc 1129, 30%)
Some people had lion pillars guarding their gates; Grandfather had opted for fierce griffons.
GROW - #3 (loc 6281, 78%)
Walking back to the swanky VIP room, Evelyn noticed the crowd continued to grow.
GYM SHOES
HOTDOG
JEWELS - #2 (loc 5125, 93%)
She shrugged, the fingers of her free hand running over the priceless jewels she wore with jeans and a tee shirt.
LAKE - #8 (loc 3678, 87%)
The pack would have either run him off by now or just tosses him into the lake with Ralph the alligator and let them fight it out.
LINCOLN
LOOP - #2 (loc 1570, 29%)
Blayne finished cleaning off the material around the pipe and hung the hammer from a loop on her pants.
MOTHER-IN-LAW - #7 (loc 3556, 93%)
Whatever the future held-and even if she knowingly married into a family with a mother-in-law and father-in-law from Hell-she and Chris would face it together.
MUSEUM - #11 (loc 1547, 29%)
"I've never in my life seen so much hockey stuff in one place that wasn't a museum or your father's closet."
NAVY - #2 (loc 3293, 60%)
"That's what I used to do in the Navy. I was an engineer. Worked with the SEALS. I can take an amount of plastique that would barely blow up a squirrel and level a city block with it."
PARK - #11 (loc 1754, 33%)
They could see a black Range Rover parked at the head of the block and it wasn't one of the Malone vehicles.
PIER - #1 (loc 499, 8%)
"Earlier today we went down to the pier to hang out a bit-we used to go there every summer when we were younger-and there were lots of wolves."
PIONEER
PIZZA - #7 (loc 734, 20%)
At the time, he'd planned to use it to order a hundred pizzas to be delivered to the mansion; now, instead, Rasputin would pay to drown Chris's woes.
POP - #5 (loc 2031, 25%)
The part that saw human-shaped shadows lurking in the night and had a sixth sense about pop quizzes or someone's intentions.
PROPS - #4 (loc 983, 24%)
He props up next to a mantle, watching the dance floor like he's pretending to be interested. His grin spreads like he knows I just killed a man.
RIBBON - #6 (loc 3479, 70%)
Chesh has already purchased a pair of red ribbons with tiny white hearts on them, and tied big fluffy bows around each of the Duke's dark horns. It's hilarious and sexy both at the same time.
SEARS - #6 (loc 667, 14%)
Heat sears between us, this flaming frenzy that burns my lips and tongue as we come together.
SECOND - #4 (loc 283, 7%)
One second earlier than I predicted, I hear something crash to the ground, something else shatter, and four angry Horsemen shouting very not nice words about me.
SHORE - #2 (loc 1191, 22%)
Something Blayne wore in the summer when she and Gwen hit the Jersey Shore, at least the denim version of that outfit, but for winter? Not in this lifetime.
SHOULDERS - #1 (loc 1600, 25%)
"Was it his giant kumquat head?" "No. It was his shoulders. He's always had very large shoulders. I mean look at him. Even as a baby they were freakishly long." "Freakishly?" Lock snapped. "They stretched me right out." "Mom!"
SLIDER - #6 (loc 4167, 84%)
Well, I guess we see how he's moving around so quickly, don't we. The black pawn piece slides forward a square, getting closer to the red king.
SPORTS - #2 (loc 2036, 37%)
Knew he planned to go over to the sports center and confront a man who could crush him with his pinky.
STYLE - #11 (loc 2969, 56%)
"Gwenie invited her uncles," Blayne chirped in, her entire body bouncing around in kind of a mix of 90s-style dancing and just a hyperactive fit.
TASTE - #1 (loc 4922, 77%)
As one nun had told her-or hissed at her, depending on your perspective-"Your only saving grace is your excellent taste in music, Devil's Whore."
TOWER #7 (loc 455, 13%)
I'd lock her in a tower. Best way to ensure no one defiled her. How about not having a daughter at all? No one to carry on my greatness?
TOWN - #8 (loc 1154, 28%)
Cops and emerging personnel rarely came to this part of town until the sun came up and any bodies lying on the ground could be clearly seen.
WASHROOM
WET - #2 (loc 3567, 65%)
After having been so cautious around her, he now slathered her with wet dog kisses and jumped from side to side, eager to have a friend.
WINDY - #11 (loc 3601, 68%)
"Honestly, anyone with a good eye and a steady hand can take out a target a thousand yards away at nearly a hundred stories high with adjustments made for heavy winds and inclement weather." The bear leaned back and gazed at her. "Not really."
