The Library Book might be my pick for this. It's the January book for Reese Witherspoon's Book Club (and actually any of her picks would probably fit for this!) https://hello-sunshine.com/book-club
I just finished listening to Michelle Obama's Becoming and it was fantastic. Lots that I didn't remember or know about the Obamas. Very insightful. And Michelle has a great voice to listen to.
@Shannon - I'm halfway through The Library Book but it expired on Overdrive - tragic! She is such a great nonfiction narrator; she inserts herself into the story without taking away from it. In that way, she reminds me of Michelle in I'll Be Gone in the Dark, though Michelle shares more personal details of her research than Susan does. Plus, it's like a professional development book for us, too, right?! That high school diploma program through LAPL? Yes!
Oh, and duh, I read Where the Crawdads Sing, an excellent, atmospheric, slow-unveiling of a mystery. I can't recommend it enough.
I read Where the Crawdads Sing, The President Is Missing and I would imagine that One Good Deed made it to the best seller list if even for a moment as did some others on my list this year. Loved Where the Crawdads Sing.
