The Worst Witch has a slight mischievous feel about it as the character Mildred Hubble is always upto something. Children aged 7-10 would benefit from this book as the imagination that can come sparking from this book is inevitable. The book is aimed more towards girls as it is a girl’s school full of witches. The magic in the book can give the children a sense of fiction and let them get lost within the book which allows them to let the story unfold about Mildred Hubble’s mishaps. The themes of this book could trigger creative writing, and help with the thought process of the children making their own story. Jill Murphy
