D:
▪️DIVERSITY: Read a book about diversity that celebrates our differences
▪️DEBUT: Read a debut novel or read a popular author’s first book
▪️DYSTOPIAN: Read a dystopian novel

CL Booked | 38 comments For the trope ‘Debut novel” I went with RS Grey “hotshot doc”. This author can be a bit hit or miss for me but this one was a winner

I just read The Perfect Date for the DIVERSITY trope as the leads were Puerto Rican and Black.
Unfortunately it was not a book I would recommend in the slightest.

nitya (nityatrip) | 26 comments The book I chose covers two tropes but I decided it fit the diversity group better. Anyway, my choice was Helen Hoang's The Bride Test since both protagonists are Vietnamese/Vietnamese American and one of them is autistic.

Honestly I enjoyed this WAY more than The Kiss Quotient. Endearing and flawed characters are my kryptonite!

Kat | 32 comments For DEBUT I've read The Friend Zone.

Undine | 34 comments I read Beverly Jenkins' Night Song for DEBUT. It was great, and doesn't feel 25 years old at all. My only complaint is that whoever digitized it didn't do a good job copy editing.
