J:
▪️JERK: Read a book where the hero is a bad boy, troubled and/or rude
▪️JOY: Read a book that makes you laugh
▪️JOURNEY: Read a book set in a country you want to visit

I read What the Wind Knows by Amy Harmon for Journey. It's set in Ireland and I've always wanted to visit there. Hopefully I'll get to someday.

Undine | 34 comments I read I've Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella for Joy. It was my first time reading something by her, and I really liked it despite Poppy's many questionable choices!

He is the biggest jerk for the first half of the book. You find out why and you fall in love with him, but the female lead is what makes you keep reading.
I actually reread this one at least once a year - around Superbowl time.

JERK - The Simple Wild
Yeah, and the hero was such a jerk that I dnf'd it lol. This is probably my least favourite trope, ever.

CL Booked | 38 comments JOY - I read “Bet Me” by Jennifer Crusie. I DNF at 18%. That book did not bring me joy. It just gave me a headache due to the multiple pov and I didn’t like a single character.

CL Booked | 38 comments Since the book I chose last time I DNF I decided to pick another one and went with JERK. I read “Bully” by Penelope Douglas and boy did it deliver. I loved the MFC and I loved this book.

I read Love and Blarney for JOURNEY. It's set in Ireland. I don't recommend it even though it's very short, mainly because there wasn't much depth to it.

Kat | 32 comments For Jerk I read The Simple Wild, whose male character is a bit of a jerk at first but he does come around and I enjoyed the book.
