This is one of the stronger ones, overall, I think, even though not perfect. This is one of the cold case ones in the alphabet series--no plot summary here as I am catching up on 6 reviews in one evening since I am quite far behind.

In this one we have a long disappeared 4 year old, a witness of something whose mental health might not be all it seems at the beginning, rabbit trails, etc, but it is also one where we know who the kidnappers are almost from the outset, so the mysteries are different than in those where we know no more than Kinsey does. Beatniks, hippies, drinking, drugs, babies, dysfunctional families, but, as usual, not very believable teen dialogue.
