Book One completed. An easy one to start with.
Raven Black by Ann Cleeves - the first book in the Shetland Series. I have a signed copy of Wild Fire the final book from the Bloody Scotland 2018 event and looking forward to reading the whole series in order this year.
Book Two completed. Beloved Poison by E S Thomson set in London in 1840s but with passing references to Edinburgh. Author has lived in Scotland for last 32 years. Author was at our Book Group today - fascinating and could have listened all day.
Book Three completed. I’ll Keep You Safe by Peter May.
I am going to listen to Peter May on Tuesday discussing his latest book so thought I’d better finish the one from the event last year.
Enjoyed the book although not sure how believable it was
Book Four complete. The second in Ann Cleeves Shetland Series - White Nights. Still as good as I remember
Book Five complete. The third in the Shetland Series - Red Bones and the last of the series that is a re-read for me. Have to finish another couple of books then it will be on to Blue Lightning
Book Six completed. The fourth in the Shetland Series - Blue Lightning - wow. I knew something bad was going to happen in this book and it did !
Book Seven completed. Dead Water - the fifth in the Shetland Series. Perhaps a little disappointed with the ending. Want to read the next Shetland Book but have to finish a book group read for group meet on Tuesday.
Books eight and nine completed.First - Bloody January by Alan Parks. Gritty with lots of blood and swearing. Set in 1973 Glasgow.
Then Thin Air by Ann Cleeves Book Number six in the Shetland Series
Book Ten complete - Cold Earth Book Number 7 in the Shetland Series.Just started Wildfire the last of the Shetland Series - it will coincide with the start of another set of Shetland on TV.
After Shetland think I will head to TF Muir series set in St Andrews - anyone read these ?
Book Eleven completed The Sealwomens Gift by Sally Magnusson - thoroughly enjoyed this. One of my local book group reads. Based on the story of Ásta starting in 1627 on the Westmann Islands. It’s Sally Magnusson’s first fictional book.
Book Twelve completed .... and it completes the Shetland Series ....Wild Fire by Ann Cleeves. Sad to say goodbye to Jimmy Perez - that’s not a spoiler merely a comment about the last book in the series.
Book Fourteen completed. One of my book group reads - Down to the Sea by Sue Lawrence.Only six booksto go and it’s only March - think I need to up a category

Wow! That's awesome, upgrade away. (You can either tell us your new goal here on this thread or start a new thread in the right challenge folder).

Book Seventeen completed - Insidious Intent by Val McDermid. One of the Tony Hill Series - like catching up with an old friend
Book Eighteen - Perfect Remains by Helen Fields.Crime set in Edinburgh - thoroughly enjoyed it and am now off to find the next in the series.

Interesting - this is on my (virtual) TBR pile, it’s popular in this group I think.

Well done on reaching your goal Fiona! I wasn’t keen on another Ruth Ware book, but I might try one set in a (fictional) Cairngorms :)

Congrats for making the goal!!!"
Thank you - and still a couple of months to go. Didn’t realise that I read as many Scottish books until I joined this group.

Well done on reaching your goal F..."
Thank you - heard Ruth Ware at Bloody Scotland in September where she read a section from the start of the book. It made me ignore my TBR pile and start and finish this book quickly
Book 27 The Ghost of Helen Addison set in Argyll and written by Charles e McGarryRead for our local book group which meets on Friday night
Whilst I enjoyed the Scottish setting can’t say I particularly enjoyed the book. Would love to ask the author about the short paragraph which refers to my clan - the McLachlans - he didn’t name them but did state the clan motto Fortis et Fidus

Ooh, was this any good? I’ve still got my eye on the first one in the series :)

I enjoyed it - developing the characters from the first book. There are another 2/3 in the pipeline. Hania Allen the author is really interesting to listen to. She has been along to our Book Group to discuss both the books and been throughly entertaining
