Julie (3x5books) | 31 comments I saw this blog post today (Asian debut authors of 2019) and started making a list.

The books I'm looking forward to by Asian and Asian diaspora authors are mostly by non-debut ones, like these:

Jade War (The Green Bone Saga #2) by Fonda Lee The True Queen (Sorcerer Royal #2) by Zen Cho I Love You So Mochi by Sarah Kuhn Firestarter (Timekeeper #3) by Tara Sim The Night Tiger by Yangsze Choo Avatar the Last Airbender The Rise of Kyoshi by F.C. Yee Aru Shah and the Song of Death (Pandava Quartet, #2) by Roshani Chokshi Somewhere Only We Know by Maurene Goo

What are you looking forward to next year? Anything you're hoping for?

Danielle T (daumari) | 15 comments Maaan I'm hyped for The Downstairs Girl. Period piece with an Asian face in the American South? Sign me up! I haven't read any of Stacey Lee's other work so I checked out Under a Painted Sky and Outrun the Moon from my local library.

Yoshika (ywason) | 1 comments I'm looking forward to reading On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous. I'm familiar with Ocean Vuong's poetry so I'm curious to see how his writing style translates into prose.
