Book Tower Challenge

Welcome to the Book Tower Challenge, a relaxed team challenge to race with other teams to read the most number of books, while simultaneously completing small mini-challenges assigned to each team. Basically, there will be three mini-tasks during the course of the challenge, and meanwhile, all you hand to do is read and record the books that you have read.

Rules and Information
• Each participant will be assigned to a team of 5-6 members.
• Each book you read will count for points that your team will receive upon completion of the book.
• You can read as many books as you like to help your team.
• A team chat will be set up to discuss amongst other team members.
• The duration is for 8 weeks, starting February 1st to March 31st. You must be willing to read at least one book per week.
• Books must have at least 100 pages.
• Children's books, manga, cooking books and comics will not be counted.
• One reread per member is allowed.
• DNF books can be counted for points and pages as long as you have read at least 100 pages.

Winners
Winning teams will be selected based on:
• Most points
• Most books read
• Most pages read

Mini-Challenges
There will be three mini-challenges:

Book Pool
A pool of books is made, and five books will be selected at random by the moderator and assigned to the team to read. Read this for more information.

Spell-the-Word
Two words will be assigned to each team, and each letter of the word must be read by reading books that have titles starting with the same letter.

Points System
100-150 pages - 25 points
151-200 pages - 50 points
201-300 pages - 75 points
301-400 pages - 100 points
401-500 pages - 150 points
501-600 pages - 175 points
601-700 pages - 200 points
701-800 pages - 250 points
801-900 pages - 300 points
900+ pages - 350 points

Do a Buddy Read - 30 points

Do you think we'll postpone it if there are less participants?

To be honest, I don't know. I want to do this challenge so much, so I certainly would be disappointed if we can't do it. The only problem is that I have exams during the first two weeks of March and even if I extend sign-ups through February, so to avoid this from clashing, I will have to start from April. I still need to figure out what to do if that happens, but for now, fingers crossed that we can do it as I currently planned :)

Yeah, I hope we can and if, due to some reason, we can't, then I'm sure we'll find a good solution to it :)

1. If there are multiple people with the same name, this ID is unique for every profile, hence making me less confused.
2. If someone changes their username, I tend to get confused very fast, so I can sort it out more easily since I'm using Goodreads from my phone which is a little harder than a computer or laptop.
