Happy, Happy Birthday to you Diane! Brianna looking in the family way now. I like that through Jocasta, Brianna found out about her artistic connection to her family. Really dont care for that Capt. Wolf much, And haven't since he first appeared. So glad Brianna found a solution and didnt get stuck with him or the other smarmy fella. The shower dream/hallucination almost felt like it didnt fit to me. We've been away from the future for awhile, but i realize it was way to make his capture more dramatic. Bonnet must be the luckiest evil person who ever lived, but did they have to mess with my Murtagh?

I have a question about Brianna and Roger. (view spoiler)[ Are Roger and Brianna cousins? I know that Roger is really a MacKenzie. Wouldn't Roger be Dougals great (how ever many times) grandson?

I got confused because several episodes ago Jamie wanted to arrange a marriage between Brianna and Ian since she is pregnant. Brianna says that she can't marry her cousin and that where she comes from it's taboo. I was thinking aren't Brianna and Roger cousins?

If Roger is related to Jamie, it doesn't seem like Claire mentioned that to him in the show.

I really liked getting to see John Grey again in this episode of Outlander. I liked the scenes and new friendship formed between Grey and Brianna.

David Berry is superb as John Grey! He brings such authenticity to the character. I get photographic mental images from the book when he is in a scene.

As for Roger and Brianna (view spoiler)[ I don't think either of them know that his ancestor was the offspring of Geillis and Dougal. Remember Claire just found out last season that the baby was given to another family. This made it more touching the Roger saved Mordad McKinsey and her baby on the ship. (hide spoiler)]

More info about Roger and Brianna (view spoiler)[Roger and Brianna find out that his ancestor is the offspring of Geillis and Dougal in Book 7, EITB, when Roger's ancestor William Buccleigh MacKenzie travels through time and ends up with them at 20th century Lallybroch (which R & B bought). In reply(view spoiler)[ Claire didn't know about the baby surviving the witch trial until she was in Jamaica with Geillis. Since Bree has been back there has been so much going on for her to even think about mentioning it. Besides even if she knew the baby was a McKinsey it would not have made her think it was an ancestor of Rogers since that is a pretty common name. I think it makes it interesting to us because it explains how Roger can time travel. (hide spoiler)]

I really loved this latest episode. I feel like the John Grey and Brianna scenes were super close to what I pictured as I read the book. I sort of had forgotten the friendship that develops between them.

So, in our society, she could marry Roger since they're so far removed genetically. Nobody would probably even know they were related by the 1970s.

This is shaping up to be an excellent season.

Can anyone advise as to when Adso makes his appearance? In two seasons I think.

Have you heard that Adso was going to be included? He was not a big part of the plot so I can see him being left out. Rollo was different and a more integral part of the story.

Thats a good point -- too bad the cat is expendable.

Jamie finds adso in Fiery Cross (next season) On The way back from the gathering.

I remember that -- and how he is introduced to Claire. Maybe they can spare a couple of minutes for him -- they did for the white hog.

I binge read through Echo so I have a hard time remembering when certain things happened. I do like Adso but not sure if he warrants the screen time.

Adso does not make his appearance until book 5, but I'll bet we get him as a title card next season.

I hope that Brianna gets to meet Willy.

She does eventually but as I recollect not until Willy is an officer in the Kings infantry
