I would perhaps read
, but as romance isn't one of my most liked genres, it could take a long while until I read it. I first want to read other books I have in my empty shelvie list before I buy new ones.
I feel so out of place here. lol. I actually love romance and I own this one. I definitely look forward to reading it with you! I'm sorry if it makes you uncomfortable but it kiiiiinda gives me a chuckle when you cringe over the romance in your videos.

It's all good! I don't mind romance at all in movies/tv shows so I understand why others like it... I just can't deal in book form lol

Almost never read love stories so skipping this one. Can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts. Or I may just reread Phantastes by George Macdonald for a good classic Romance.
I don't read much contemporary romance but I really enjoyed the sample of this that I read! Looking forward to giving it a try
I love a bit of romance in life and appreciate a light read at times but I don’t often actively search out a romance book. A few days ago, I finished ‘When Breath Becomes Air’ and needed an easy read while I tried to recover. My library had this instantly available as an ebook and after seeing very strong reviews one way or the other, I was open minded but a bit nervous (I HATED 50 shades)...
Less than two days later and I’m a bit embarrassed to say that it was a fun, easy read! Yeah it was predictable and the end felt a bit rushed but it was just what I needed. In addition, I appreciate that it brings attention to females with Aspergers/Autism, how they tend to differ from males with the same diagnosis and the author’s comments at the end were very interesting.
A surprising 4 stars from me (maybe a 3.5 but I’m a scientist and I rounded up 😉)
You shouldn’t be embarrassed you enjoyed it! Romance done well is excellent! It has come a long way from what it used to be in the 70s, 80s, and early 90s, when there used to be a lot of questionable tropes in frequent use. A lot of romance today is incredibly intelligent, feminist, and hilarious. Though definitely not without its flaws. There’s still of a way to go where diversity’s concerned. I’ll be joining in for most of the big books, but I’m looking forward to read this one for sure!
Well, I like Romance but I am very choosy with of what kind. While I really like adult paranormal romance (mostly), I hate YA/Teen paranormal or contemporary romance. There are so many tropes I usually see in these which irritates me a lot! There is only one in the nominees I could see myself picking, which is 'The Thief' but I have already read that one.
I love romance and this was no different, loved it. I actually think I want to reread it. I am looking for the next book from this author.
I'm really big on romance (I started with YA fantasy/contemporary, and now only ever read New adult/adult romance and fantasy), but I feel that The Simple Wild is such a great book for non-romance readers. I went into it thinking it was super heavy on the romance, but the romance wasn't the biggest part of the plot. The setting and family relationships in it was the best, and it also has a super high rating on Goodreads (something ridiculous like 4.5 stars for a standalone 'romance' novel).

The winner was The Kiss Quotient and yes, I've been warned about the sex scenes... no idea how that's gonna go lol
