I nominate Song of the Beast by Carol Berg. It's a standalone, the prose is beautiful (according to the reviews) and there's dragons (I think)!
I nominate The Immortal Prince. Repping an Aussie author. Great series with solid world building. Picture Immortals telling a lost history. There is a lot more too it, but I don't want to spoil anything.
I’ll second The Immortal Prince. Fallon’s Second Sons series was really good.I’ll nominate Sister Mine by Nalo Hopkinson. Read two of her other books last year and they were great.

I'll second The Ruin of Kings. Tor.com is offering one chapter every Tuesday, leading to the release of the book. I might start reading it early if this book wins :p

The Colour of MagicYoseph, you can link a book by clicking on the add book/author line above the window^. Then type the title in the pop-up window and it will add the book's link here in the comment.
I think The Color of Magic was read in June of 2015 or The First Discworld Novels the Colour of Magic and the Light Fantastic.
I'll nominate The City of Brass. Looks like an interesting mix of cultures and mythologies. Reportedly a great debut and the second book is due out soon, too.
Yoseph, if you scroll down the home page there is a buddy read folder but you can always broach it in the reading thread too :)

It's that time of the month again! Place your book suggestions here, one nomination and one second per person. Do read through the rules first, please. Feel free to nominate books that have failed selection previously.
1. All nominations must be shelved on GR as fantasy primarily.
2. All nominations must be linked to their book page, or they'll be ignored.
3. All nominations must be seconded.
4. Check our group bookshelf as we won't be including books we've read since January 2015. Check here https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
5. No self-nominations.
You have a week to nominate, then I'll set up the poll.
Have at it, Helen
