I think I and my friend are one of the few people who actually like the priest even though he is pretty pathetic. But i just want to know people's thoughts about him.

He is creepy and misguided. Definitely do not like him. But then again, I did like Amy in Gone Girl, and my friends think that is wrong.
As an antagonist he's good, he's exactly what the plot needs him to be, and I think he works well in the first book as a foil against Vasya. He's maniuplated by evil forces and fear can make people do horrible things, however, even before the bear uses him as a pawn he's horrible. He's treatment towards Vasya is terrible, even if he thinks its love. But his character intrigued me nonetheless. I do wonder though, what it is that you like about him?
Hell no!! He was evil to the core but a good antagonist as Stephanie pointed out. However he lusted after Vasya and this created his inner conflict. His was to goal to destroy her which he believed would help him conquer his obsession with her.
Nope. He's a man driven by the wrong reasons who masks them with his faith.
Awful man. Conceited, misguided, selfish and a little bit dumb. A loose cannon, bound to cause trouble wherever he goes. It’s not hard to imagine there have been a lot of priests like him in Christian churches over the yearsI liked the character though, and felt sorry for him..
I went back and forth liking him and hating him. There were times I felt bad for him and other times I just wanted him to disappear. He's the perfect definition of an antagonist.
Well, no, I don't "like" Konstantin, but he's an interesting character. I think that's mostly because Arden is playing a bit of a double game with him as a villain. That is, she gives us a lot of his POV, and uses some sympathetic language in her portrayal of the character. He's a bad guy... but we can kind of understand where he coming from, even if we know he's full of crap and otherwise misguided/misled. It gives him more dimension than many of the other characters, particularly other antagonists. He's a more developed or "real" character than, say, Morozko.
