The first book we will be reading is One of Us is Lying by Karen M. McManus. Lets aim to have the book read by Wednesday 30th and we can discuss it then. Have fun reading :)

what did you all think of the book?

Abbey (abbeyllauren) | 5 comments I really enjoyed it! I thought the reveal of the killer was great! I’d grown to feel like I knew the other characters too well that any of them actually having done it seemed unbelievable to me.

I felt the same. I kept thinking, one of them is the killer but none of them feel like the killer. I kept looking for clues in everything they said. I guessed it was Jake. I knew he was involved somehow but I didn't see ending coming.

I liked how well Karen wrote the characters in such a small book. There was great characters depth and it was nice to see her write characters that felt real, rather than the stereotypical jock or bad boy. Cooper was more than just a popular athlete and Addy ended up being pretty badass.

I was a bit annoyed with Nate though. With the hole break up bit. I don't like the whole "I'm protecting you by dumping you" thing.

Abbey (abbeyllauren) | 5 comments I agree! I think the characters were so well developed and well written. I was also quite annoyed by Nate breaking up with Bronwyn to try and ‘protect’ her.
