Easy level: 3 books (at least 1 Aussie author)
Medium level: 6 books (at least 2 Aussie authors)
Hard level: 9 books (at least 3 Aussie authors)

Love is in the air, in the whisper of the tree
Love is in the air, in the thunder of the sea
And I don't know if I'm just dreaming
Don't know if I feel safe
But it's something that I must believe in
And it's there when you call out my name

This February we are listening to the books in our lives that are calling out our names. Pick a task and read it with love.

Author you love
We all have authors whose works we love so much we would just about read their shopping lists.
Read a book by your favourite author

Genre you love
What is your most favourite genre? Thrillers, Historical, non-fiction? Doesn’t matter if it is not romance, if you love it then read it.
Read a book that is from your favourite genre.

Cover you love
They say not to judge a book by its cover – but some covers are sheer magic.
Search a bookshelf and read a book where the cover says to you ‘Read Me - NOW’

Series you love
We all have a book series that we love so much that we are holding our breath to read the next one.
Read the next book in a series you love.

Day that you love
This is your chance to read to celebrate or commemorate something that has its own day – love Christmas? World Chocolate day? Australia Day? Save the whale Day? Whatever your favourite day is, read a book to show your allegiance – tell us why you picked the book.

Colour you love
Purple, red, yellow, blue, brown - what is your favourite colour?
Read a book with a cover that consists of that colour – I love blue so watch out for a blue cover from me.

Animal you love
Pick your favourite animal and read a book that has it on the cover.
Dogs, cats and birds are easy – but pandas, snakes and hippopotamus are less easy to find.

Food you love
What do you fancy to eat? Cakes, curry, sushi, chocolate?
Read a book that has your favourite food on the cover.

Scenery you love
Where is your happy place to recharge? Do you love being in the mountains, in the heart of a city, at the beach, or out at sea?
Read a book that has a scene you love on the cover

Historical Era you love
Would you like to be a cave man, a Russian Queen or a Pioneer? Perhaps you love the present?
Pick a book set in a time you would like to live.

Holiday you love
Spin the globe and let your fingers do the travelling - Switzerland, Africa or Outer Mongolia!
You can travel anywhere in the world - read a book that is set in that country

Work you love
We all have to work to support our book habit - Tinker, Tailor, Candlestick Maker - the possibilities are endless
Read a book where the MC does a job that either you do, or you want to do.

DON'T FORGET

1. Our guidelines HERE

2. Please include pictures of the book covers especially when the task requires something to be on the cover - for example if you pick the task that needs a cat or a specific colour on the cover - then we need to see those covers as we don't have time to click on each link to go and check :)

TheMadHatter | 393 comments This is my first challenge I have signed up for. Wish me luck. I will start with Easy...but I might actually nominate 4 books, because I couldn't choose which 3 :-P

Author You Love: I adore Melina Marchetta (Plus she is an Aussie Author). I haven't read Looking for Alibrandi so I will give that a go.

Food You Love. Well that is a no-brainer. Chocolat by Joanne Harris. This has sat unread in my bookcase for a number of years.

Series You Love. I am currently re-reading the Lady Julia Grey series, so by Feb I should be up to book 2 Silent in the Sanctuary by Deanna Raybourn

Colour You Love . Black. At long last I get to read Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo which I got as a gift with a stunning hardback black cover. Nice to read at last.

Brad | 70 comments Okay I have my six books, and I am looking forward to starting on them !!

Love the Author: Stephen King and I am so looking forward to reading Part III of the Hodges trilogy: End of Watch

Love the Genre: Thrillers, and very happy to be reading the start of a new series by Aussie Author Steve P Vincent: The Omega Strain

Love the Cover: I was trawling through amazon (the website, not the jungle) and when I saw this book cover (and the low price) I had clicked on "One Click Buy" before the rest of my brain caught up. So hopefully the book is as good as the cover!!
Aussie Author: Jeff Apter - High Voltage: The Life of Angus Young, AC/DC's Last Man Standing

Love the Series: Star Wars, but in particular the tales of Admiral Thrawn. Never in a movie, but an obscure character who I really like. Timothy Zahn : Alliances

Love the Colour / Food: Who does like gold? and who doesn't like "Old Gold" Chocolate? Well I know who does... me!
Jay Stringer: Old Gold

Love to go on Holiday here... Paris, France, the food, the wine, the art...
Phil Philips - Mona Lisa's Secret
