Chris Loves to Read | 54 comments Previously I got this book and The Graveyard Apartment by Mariko Koike at the same time from the library... they seemed like similar stories so I returned this one. It will be interesting to see if, in fact, they are similar.

Chris Loves to Read | 54 comments this book.. the inconsistent flip-flopping of POV was disorienting. it took me about half way through the book to realize that this was probably on purpose because what is happening to this couple is so bizarre and disorienting for them. Over all I enjoyed this book!

I really liked this. I enjoyed how the house was rarely (if ever) actively doing things. That they would stumble upon terrifying shit that was passively happening
(mild spoiler)
when the husband opened up the wall and saw a room filled with old photos of him and his wife was the creepiest part for me.

I just finished the audiobook, and the wife’s chapters were narrated by a woman while the husbands were narrated by a man, so I missed the disorientation. I sort of wish I’d had that experience! I thought this book was real creepy!

i did the audio book as well, i didn't even think about the fact that without the narrator changes it would presumably take until afew chapters in of reading to realize it alternates between the husband and wife every other chapters.
