1. The Darkest Whisper (Lords of the Underworld #4) by Gena Showalter by Gena Showalter Gena Showalter
Finish Date: January 2019
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Rating: B
Review: Started this fourth book in the series somewhat bummed since I did not really like the main character from his parts in the first books. It just took an awesome little harpy to change my mind :) Bring on book 5!!

Andrea Wright | 27 comments 2. Christmas on the Island (Summer Seaside Kitchen #3) by Jenny Colgan by Jenny Colgan Jenny Colgan
Finish Date: January 31, 2019
Genre: Chick Lit, Christmas
Rating: B
Review: Started this third book in a series not realizing I had missed book two so there were parts of the story that I did not know and characters I had not met yet. That being said, it was still a great, although sad story and I would recommend it to anyone that loves Jenny Colgan's books.

Andrea Wright | 27 comments 3. The Strange Affair of Spring Heeled Jack (Burton & Swinburne, #1) by Mark Hodder by Mark Hodder Mark Hodder
Finish Date: January 31, 2019
Genre: Steampunk, Science fiction
Rating: A
Review: Very cool story of time travel, Victorian london, Scotland Yard, and characters like Darwin and Sir Richard Francis Burton, but it's all a bit off to actual history. A Sherlock Holmes feel to the story for sure!

4. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer by Mary Ann Shaffer Mary Ann Shaffer
Finish Date: February 10, 2019
Genre: Historical Fiction
Rating: A
Review: I love the movie and almost did not read the book since I already knew the story. This book is fantastic and needs to be read in addition to the movie. There are different characters and more happening in the book, per typical book to movie relation, but both are stunning in their characters and telling. Since the book is written in letters form it will be easy to revisit time and time again.

Andrea Wright | 27 comments 5. Half Magic (Tales of Magic, #1) by Edward Eager by Edward Eager Edward Eager
Finish Date: February 19, 2019
Genre: Fantasy, Middle Grade
Rating: B
Review: Fantastic middle grade book that pulls you in like a pre-Narnia story. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book and introduce the series to someone at the library.

6. The Fourth Ruby (Section 13, #2) by James R. Hannibal by James R. Hannibal James R. Hannibal
Finish Date: March 2, 2019
Genre: Fantasy, Young Adult
Rating: B
Review: Took me awhile to get into this second book for some reason, but once I finally got past the first chapter or two then the story really picked up and I had a hard time putting it down. Excited to see where the third book takes us and if Jack's father will be in the picture more.
