Audiobooks fill in nicely for some of us readers and with Audible's Free month long intro offer we can listen to A.Lot. of stories... the Romance package is worth the free intro month just for JaneAusten options!..
Another source is youtube. Search Jane Austen audiobòoks for a variety of choices without cost and available anytime you are ... varied narrators -do sample to find your preference.

Downpour has Jane related audiobook rentals , another option to pursue. And of course libraries offer various free loans via Overdrive Hoopla Recorded Books or shelved physical copies .

Have to admit I hated Longbourn--not just for the ewww factor (TMI about the physical realities of living in that era) but also for the violence done to the character of Mr. Bennet and for the meandering story.

I actually enjoyed longbourn to a point. how Mr Benet was was my only issue.

I rated it 4 stars

I haven't read Longbourn but my mother tried reading it and quit before finishing because of how detailed it was about the work and realities of living then and I decided not to read it based on what she said.

Well, as they're free and Debbie seems to think they're not so bad, I've taken the plunge and will go in with an open mind!

That's what I thought and they are very short... on average, less than 50-pages.

that's weird with Monica fairview books. I have 1 of those,3 titles on nook but it doesn't appear at all in nook format when I search for it online only paperback
