I'd have bass cannons in my palms.

I would love any elemental power. (ex. Fire, water, earth and air)

Bug's invisibility power, or Taylor's bounce/teleport power.

Near invincibility (Orc) or Super strength/Speed (Jack).

I know its corny but I would want to read minds, that would really freak my friends out.

The book doesn't really have elemental powers, though.

I would want to be able to breathe underwater or talk with animals.

I'd definitely have Taylor's power I'd love to be anywhere I wanted in just the blink of an eye plus I'd never be in danger if I was ever threatened with a dangerous situation I could just "bounce" out!

I would have the power to stop time.

I would want to be able to have Caines power or become invisible when in sight of danger or in an uncomfortable situation

I want to throw lightning. A little Electrobolt would be fun to have. Zappy, zappy!

Most of these powers aren't even from this book.

Well, the original question was what would your mutation be, in relation to the book. But I guess it doesn't matter.

Thank you all for commenting! (Btw, I have no problems with powers not from the book. Remember at one point not everyone with powers were even known meaning lots of others.)

I would really like Taylor's powers. ( Spoilers: As long as i don't get stuck half in and half out of a car.) I would love to just pop wherever I wanted

I want to be able to heal people like Lana; you won't get killed if you are her. I like Breeze's power as well.

Fire, like the girl from the start of Gone, but hopefully I wouldn't torch myself?

Teleportation. The best power of all time.

BTW I don't like Gone, slow-paced and poorly written

I just finished the first book in the series. Yeah, I know I'm late to the party, LOL..So many books! I loved Gone. I thought it was suspenseful, fast-paced, and even funny at times.

I'd like to either be able to read minds, or be able to make myself invisible. I'm already perceptive so this would give me a real advantage. I may not like what I "read" or "see", but it would be an asset.

A healing power, like Rico says above, would keep me alive. People would NEED me. They wouldn't dare kill me, and I'd think they want to get on my good side as much as possible. If I was a healer, I'd like to be able to control how FAST I heal someone.

It would be slow and painful if someone wasn't nice to me, LOL.

I personally would like to shapeshift into anything I have touched previously, although a limitation would be I couldn't turn into other people and I can't turn into anything heavier than I am. The usefulness would be being able to spy (say if I was on Caine's side in Fear I could spy at the lake)
