Bobby Dee | 86 comments Hippocampus Press has announced this book up for preoder here:

https://www.hippocampuspress.com/robe...

As the title implies, this is a collection of my essays on Robert E. Howard, his fellow pulpsters, life & times, etc. Most of the contents have been published in print or online before, although this edition features some corrections, expansions, and better citations; there is also some new material, like the essay "Robert E. Howard in Mexico" which I gave a talk about at Howard Days 2018. If you attended that event, you might remember me handing out an early, uncorrected ashcan edition, the contents are the same, so you can check out the Howard Works page to see what's in there:

Jim (jimmaclachlan) | 550 comments That's great, Bobby! Perfect timing for me since I'm making up a list of SF & Influential authors. Just looking at the TOC shows how influential REH was on SF authors.

Bobby Dee | 86 comments REH wasn't quite as prolific a correspondent as Lovecraft was, but he definitely made connections, both through HPL and Weird Tales, and I think his connections with the 1930s fan-scene in particular are part of the reason REH is remembered so well today.

Vincent Darlage | 916 comments That's awesome! Thank you for posting the pre-order link here! (I'm a huge fan of The Collected Letters of Robert E. Howard - Index and Addenda and Sex and the Cthulhu Mythos, so your work is always a top priority for me to purchase).

John Karr (karr) | 117 comments Looks interesting! I’ve read some of REH’s letters over the years but nothing compiled into one source, and with essays. The guy was a literary meteor.

Bobby Dee | 86 comments And for anyone interested, the book is also now available from amazon.com and amazon.co.uk: https://amazon.com/gp/product/1614982589

Price is $20 but will probably go up to $25 in a few weeks, if it's anything like SEX.
