Carly (carlystach) | 25 comments I avoided this one for a while. I feared it would be overrated. It was so good, despite not being a genre I usually enjoy.

I couldn't even tell you why I liked it. I just did. Just a solid book.

What are your thoughts?

The book is excellent. I haven't idea that the whole country celebrated the fuhrer' birthday. Not to such degree. The idea of Death as a narrator was amazing. The adventures of the children really interesting, and this stealing books was fun. Every of main characters was built really good, Liesel, Rudy, Hans, Rosa, and Max. I enjoyed Max' story. I like Saumensch and Saukerl.

Rudy's love for Liesel - brilliant.

What's the second worst thing in the world? A boy who hates you.

True! Their dynamic was one of my favorite parts.
