Zeljka, you can choose any books you like off your TBR. They said "oldest" last year too, but it's just to encourage people to get to books that have been hanging around for awhile.Tori said: "The purpose of this challenge is to read the books you've been putting off and clean up your TBR a little bit, so do whatever you want or feel like to accomplish that! :)
Books read: 4/5I'm going to declare myself done with this challenge. I rigorously weeded my "to read" shelf before beginning and finished/abandoned everything left that I added prior to 2019. Glad to now have a much more manageable shelf of things I truly want to read!
A Prayer for Owen Meany - Added 12/20/11; Abandoned 10/4/2019

The goal of this Challenge:
Read the 5 oldest books on your To-Be-Read (TBR)
HOW TO PLAY:
1. How to find your 5 oldest TBR books:
Go to your personal bookshelf (using "My Books" link at the top of the page) and then your "Want-to-Read" shelf - this is your TBR shelf.
Once there, click on the column header "date added" in order to sort by date you added to your TBR shelf (you may need to click twice to sort oldest-to-newest).
Once you have sorted, note the top 5 books on this list - these are the books you will aim to read this year!
2. Keeping Score
Comment on this thread with the 5 oldest books on your TBR list.
When you've finished a book from your list check it off by adding the date you finished reading next to the title. (see below for an example).
3. To edit your challenge score/edit your comment:
a. Find your comment in the challenge thread. [Tip: Take note of the message number in the upper left corner when you first post your list]
b. On the bottom right of your comment, there should be four hyperlinks: "reply | edit | delete | flag". Select "edit".
c. Add your book read date per above instructions.
d. Click "edit post" once you are done.
4. Challenge dates:
This challenge runs from February 7, 2019 to December 31, 2019.
Feel free to JOIN AT ANY TIME.
F.A.Q:
What if I have multiple TBR Shelves?
Some of you may have created multiple TBR lists, so choose whichever one you think is most appropriate, or take a book from each one!
What if I begin a book, and don't want to finish it?
What you wanted to read 10 years ago isn't what you want to read now? That is fine! Just take it off your list and add a different book in its place.
The purpose of this challenge is to read the books you've been putting off and clean up your TBR a little bit, so do whatever you want or feel like to accomplish that!
Thank you everyone for your patience in getting these yearly challenges up and running. The Around the World and Alphabet Soup Challenges will be open soon!
