How are you interpreting this prompt?

For this one I read and used a Netgalley ARC which is the newest John Sandford book to his Lucas Davenport series and the book is Neon Prey it's book #29 , his again author for me and the series is an on going one that I'm slowly getting the books for .

The book I’m reading for the AGAIN prompt is a Mart Stewart. I simply love her books. The very first one I ever read while recovering from some illness in college was The Ivy Tree. Can’t wait to begin rereading it.

Just started The Ivy Tree. Sinking into Stewart’s descriptions!

I'm going with another Agatha Christie (I also chose one for "old."). Here's what I'm re-reading:



The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, which is one of my favorite Christie novels.

This prompt I change from my original tbr.
I read Stay Close by Harlan Coben
I read many of his books, but this was not one of my favorites.
It was good, but not exciting, and way too many characters with issues.
Its about missing men who happened to go missing in February
whenever the Mardi Gras date falls on and also in the same area. There is many years between them that they go missing.

Finished Stewart book, The Ivy Tree. Such elegant writing. Enjoyed it all over again. So, I’m through with the AGAIN prompt; finished the BORROWED prompt with Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express; the NEW prompt was taken care of with Tana French’s Broken Harbor. I’d never read her before. Will absolutely read her again. Have just started the OLD prompt with a book I discovered on my own shelves. It is Josephine Tay’s The Daughter of Time. It was published in 1951. It has been languishing on my shelves forever. According to the back blurb it is supposed to be a “permanent classic in the dectective field...no superlatives are adequate.” We’ll see...

I chose by Joanne Fluke as my "Again" because this is an ongoing series I am reading and since I chose her again, it fits. 😊

I have just finished The Grownup which is a novella/short story by Gillian Flynn.
I have read all of her previous novels before so I used it for "again".

Gillian Flynn's books are hard to read for some readers because the characters and the events are very very dark. On the other hand, her writing and the way she writes these dark subjects is quite captivating. I do not mind dark subjects so I really like her books.

This novella was engaging for me with lots of turns and twists. There is a teenage boy who is a very interesting character. I gave it four stars.

I'm just a little bit jealous. I'm still 19th in line for a library copy, plus it doesn't appear that the audio is available yet. Hope to get one or the other soon. I'm totally caught up with the series except for this new one.

I am about halfway through revisiting "The First Detective (Auguste Dupin)" by Edgar Allen Poe.

I just finished Pop Goes the Weasel by James Patterson, the fifth book in the Alex Cross series. This is one of the two books that I had on my TBR for this prompt.

I am currently reading the second book that I had on my TBR for this prompt which is The Whole Truth by David Baldacci, who is one of my favorite authors.

I read Look Again by Lisa Scottoline. I have read this author many times and she is a favorite of mine. This book was very good. Especially appealing to mothers. Lots of twists and turns. I read the Overdrive audio version which had an interview with Lisa Scottoline at the end which was very interesting also.

I reread several books in March this year. For this challenge I'm counting the first three Jamie Quinn Mysteries by Barbara Venkataraman. They are short and fun. The main character is a lawyer who specializes in family law, but keeps getting pulled into criminal cases.
I just got the 4th and 5th books from the author and I'm excited to read them.

I picked up the first three Jamie Quinn Mysteries when I heard you talk about them before, but I have not gotten to them yet. Interested to hear what you think about the fourth and fifth books!

5. Aunt Dimity's Death by Nancy Atherton - I read this when it first was published in 1993 and was a joy to read again. Since I only read the first 2-4 in the series, will continue to reread and catch up with this author's series.
