Thanks for sharing your TBR with us! I've read your selections for Old an Borrowed and look forward to hearing what you think! Your selection for New is one I've had on my TBR for a very long time. Might be time for me to dust that one off!

I'm trying to do all hardboiled detective stuff.

I haven't decided what prompt this will go with but last year I was supposed to read The Goliath Bone by Mickey Spillane and I just didn't get to it so that will fall in there somewhere.

For Again, I'm honing to read one of the Philip Marlowe books by Raymond Chandler. I'm leaning towards Playback or the High Window since those I've read the least.

I also have a couple other books I want to read that I started and then lost LOL. Quarry in the Middle by Max Allen Collins and One Fearful Yellow Eye by John D Macdonald.

I also would like to read some more Carroll John Daly and there is a "supernatural" detective series that Robert E Howard did that I'd like to dive into.

OLD - Murder at the Vicarage by Agatha Christie- first Miss Marple book
AGAIN - Broken Harbor by Tana French - started it last year, but never finished it
NEW - Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson - new to me author
BORROWED - Woman in the Window - from my library
BLUE - Bluebird, Bluebird - obvious reasons :)

I was not originally going to do the bonus, but I realized I do have one I can read for it.

BONUS (WEDDING): Immortal in Death by J. D. Robb
- This just happens to be the next book in this series for me and I'm pretty sure it's the one where Eve and Roarke get married. At the very least, Eve is planning the wedding, so I'm going to count it. :)

NEW: I'll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman's Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer by Michelle McNamara
True crime is a new genre for me.
BORROWED: The Ivanov Diamond by Charlotte E. English
This is the second book in supernatural detective novella series. I have read the first book and enjoyed it. I will borrow it from Bookmate which is a Turkish application sort of like kindle unlimited.
BLUE: Origin by Dan Brown
The cover is mostly blue.
I do not think I will be able to do the bonus challenge.

Ya! A Fellow Trixie Belden fan! I did not read Nancy Drew but Trixie was my gal. I wish I still had all her old books but they are long gone! I would love to read one of hers for again!

BLUE - Night Whispers by Judith McNaught. This is a book I own. Good way to pare down my shelf! Completed 3/31

I've not read any of those authors, but my Mom really enjoys Catherine Coulter's series. I don't think she's quite caught up on the Brit in the FBI series, but I know she's up to date on the other FBI series. Will be interested to hear what you think!

Old: Murder at the Vicarage by Agatha Christie. It's an older mystery.

New: Pretty Poisonby Joyce and Jim Lavene. This is the first book in a new series for me.

Borrowed: Murder on Gramercy Park by Victoria Thompson. I will borrow this one from my library.

Blue: Coffee, Tea, or Murder a Murder, She Wrote novel by Donald Bain/Jessica Fletcher. It has blue on the cover.

Again: Gunpowder Green by Laura Childs- Again I will visit my favorite fictional tea shop in Charleston, the Indigo Tea Shop.

Wedding: The bonus challenge really had me stumped for a few days- I could not think of a wedding mystery to read! I'm still not 100% sure which one I will go with, but this great website has a whole page of wedding themed mysteries in case anyone else is in the same stumped boat that I was:

Here are the books I'm reading for March Mystery Madness:

Old -- Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie (this book is older than me)

Again -- The Whole Truth by David Baldacci -- and --
Pop Goes the Weasel by James Patterson (World os Sleuths March Series Read-along)

New -- Postmortem by Patricia Cornwell (a new to me author)

Borrowed -- The Bat by Jo Nesbø (World of Sleuths March Mysteries from Around the World Read-along, checked out from the library)

Blue -- Hold Tight by Harlan Coben (there's light blue on the cover)

If there's a wedding in any of those books, that'll satisfy the bonus challenge. I'm not going to go out of my way to find a book with a wedding theme.

Just start with 1 and go from there. It looks like you're currently reading a James Patterson novel. If you don't finish it before March 1, count it! You could count it for New since it's the first book in a series, or Again if you've read something else by James Patterson - or both!

I will post the books and cross them out as I read them.

The mystery is set in the past and the story has been around for a while making it old in both cases.

Have read this book once and loved it, and I am dying to read it again.

Have never read anything by Laura Childs.

I may read these books out of order, but the goal, like everyone else, is to have them finished by the end of March.

Paperback Junky have you ever tried Ian Rankin? He’s kind of hard boiled detective. I enjoy his books.

I’ve decided to read Keeper of the Bride for the wedding prompt. I’m leave the borrow prompt to whim at the end of the month, as, I have a library close to home and to my workplace that stock a fair few mysteries. So I just get what takes my fancy on the day.
