Kathy Penn | 9 comments I'm looking for a Beta reader or two for book two in the Royal Pooch series (#1 was Lord Banjo the Royal Pooch"). This humorous approx 200 page book is written by Lord Banjo and intended for dog lovers of all ages. This time around, his feline sister Princess Puddin' has a chapter too. Any takers out there?

I am happy to email you a PDF of 96 8.5 x 11 pages plus a list of 8 questions. I only ask that you reply with your feedback by March 1. Is that doable for you?

I see nonfiction books about dogs and fiction books that are more plot driven stories where people are the main characters. My book is written by the dog and contains his humorous anecdotes about his celebrity life since he wrote his first book, a chapter of the newspaper columns he writes, all humorous, a section of emails between the dog and me when I travel, and such. Does that appeal?

It just occurred to me that if you visit my GoodReads author page, you will find a few of Lord Banjo's columns there as I post them on my blog.

1. Overall, how did you like the book?
2. Did you lose interest at any point, even if only a little? Where and why?
3. Did you find yourself skipping pages or skimming sections? If so, where?
4. Did anything in the text confuse you? What? In what way was it confusing?
5. Can you see the book being appropriate for younger readers, ages 9 – 12?
6. What was your favorite part of the book?
7. What was your least favorite part?
8. What three adjectives would you use to describe this book?

Ellen Gilman | 13 comments Okay, I'm in. I have never been a Beta reader but I'll be happy to answer those questions. I love to read about dogs as long as it is not sad. How do we go about me getting it. I would rather not post my email here.
I would love if you would be mine back when I finish my next book...don't know when that will be yet
