I wasn’t aware of this, but there are 2 books by Ann-Marie McDonald on our list. The other one is The Way the Crow Flies -#96. Has anyone read it? If so, do you like her writing style?
I’m probably done for today & possibly the weekend. Going to get my granddaughter this afternoon. It’s been several weeks due to bad weather, illness, etc. But I will be back to visit ... after we’ve made slime more than likely. Have a great weekend!!

I also was unaware of this. :) I haven't read anything by this author before, so that is why I am looking forward to Fall on Your Knees.
I’m having a pretty hard time with this book. Not ready to give up on it, but not liking the characters very much. Anyone else have thoughts on it?
I have gotten through book/part I and have started book/part II. I am listening to it on audio and have found it as kinda weird. I haven't liked any of the characters, but I have been sympathetic to the mother in many ways. Kathleen was a spoiled brat though.
That’s it exactly. I don’t like any of them & the story at times is almost too much. I’ve gone a little farther ... not quite halfway ... just slightly into Book 3.
I read this back in 2003 for my F2F book club. This was long before I joined Goodreads, so my review is sparse. But I did rate it 4 starsSummary statement from My VERY brief review:
It's a powerful book, but NOT an enjoyable read. I did not like Frances at all; but I loved Lily.
I am about half way done with this book. If I hadn't decided to finish it, I would be DNFing it. :( I will say that it does keep my attention. I also do not like Francis, but I can understand (with her father) her 'reasons' for how she acts.(?)
Finished Fall on Your Knees. I rated it 2 stars for it being well written, but I didn't like it at all.
I truly hated this book. I gave it 3 stars (2.5 rounded up) for how well written it was & for the ending, but I hated the characters & the abusive (sexual & otherwise) relationships that were throughout the story. Some stories do not need to be told & this was one.

I actually rated it two stars for how well written it was. Otherwise it would have been a 1 star for me.
