Simone walked down the sidewalk to her house with a bit of a pep in her step. She had just gotten a raise and she had a plan for that extra money. Florida was just starting to adjust to spring. And Simone was just getting used to winter. That was how it usually worked. The trees no longer sagged with the missing wait of leaves, but rose with the pride of blossoms. Grass decided that it was warm enough to come out in bright colors. And flowers decided that the sky looked quite alright to bask in. But Simone was still getting used to winter.
Cold temperatures was not Simone's thing. So she was alright with the oncoming spring.
She decide that she was going to have a little fun, she was going to skip. No one was around. Well, at least no one she cared about. So she did she put a smile on her face and skipped. It felt good.
It didn't last long before her face felt solid ground. She obviously hadn't skipped in a while.
Jackie was glad that the sun wasn't out right now, so she decided to take a walk outside. The rain didn't bother her, she found it rather comfortable when it hits her. She decided to just walk around the block a couple time in case the sun tried to come out.
Simone got her hands under her and pushed herself up. The sidewalk was cracked and old and the new grass came up through the cracks. When she stood up and glanced at her hands, the impression of the concrete and grass stained her hands. When she glanced up she saw a girl heading her way. She didn't look familiar. Wait-she was that girl from that ice cream place! What in the world was she doing on the other side of town?
Jackie was walking down one road and saw two girls, one looked like she had been running or something because from where she was walking her face looked red. Jackie kept walking towards them and stopped in front of them. 'Hello' she said smiling. She pointed to Hannah, 'you look familiar, do I know you?' she asked raising an eyebrow.
The girl in front of her shocked her slightly. But she recovered."No, no. I'm, I'm alright. I just tripped. But, yeah, thank you!" She tried to smile. It was slightly embarrassing. Good thing her face was probably already red from the fall.
But what was worse was that another girl came up to them. She seemed to not know what happened. This was too much.
What in the world was going on? Suddenly she seemed like the main attraction. She answered the first question before the next. "I go to the ice cream place you work at sometimes." She turned to the next girl, " And I go to school just around the corner."
She searched for an excuse to get out of this but couldn't come up with anything. And this got started by the ground painfully meeting my face, she thought.
'what happened to your face?' she asked and is now confused. She doesn't talk to a lot of people. She was actually surprised at herself when she first started talking to them
Simone gave an odd look to the girl on her right. "I tripped." She turned back to the girl, Hannah. "Oh, hi. I'm Simone. And, thank you." She glanced at the girl to her right who was looking down at the grass coming out of the cracks in the concrete. "What's your name?"
(Okay. Basically I think if it looks right for you to post, you can post. Like, it looks like Tamra should go next since my character asked her character's name. Good?)
Jackie looked at the sky, the sun was trying to show through the clouds, 'I have to go' she said and started to walk again, she walked the way she came and went straight for her house trying to beat the sun.
Simone stared after the girl, then turned to Hannah. "Nice to meet you."After Hannah left, Simone still stood there, quite dumbfounded. What just happened?
((Me trying to find something good to read be like: Hmmm ooh!! A roleplay!! *clicks on this and reads* PEOPLE!! KEEP ON WRITING!!! I WANT MORE!!!))
((But I don't even know what my character will even do or have any significance to this rp.))
((I shall be her dad's girlfriend!! And Imma fail at that!!))
Home was a big slap in the face when Simone walked in. She opened the door to a party of about fifteen people. Her mom was in the mix, with a drink in her hand. What in the world? Mom never drank. She didn't like the taste. "What are you doing, Mom?" Simone said when she reached her mom.
"Well, I thought you wouldn't be home until later, so I invited some people over."
"And did they invite a few glasses? I thought you didn't like that stuff."
"Well, I do like some. But, why does it matter? They'll leave soon. You just go to your room."
That seemed to be Simone's specialty.
Before Simone got to her room, she heard her mom yell, "I'll be right there. Give me a minute."Simone turned around. "What, Mom?"
"Oh, someone's fainted at the beach. It won't take very long. Be back soon."
"Yes, you will, if you don't change."
Oh," her mom said, "right." Her mom went to change.
When she came back, and everyone had left, her mom asked her if she would come with her to get some experience in what she does. Simone was forced, basically.
They left shortly for the beach closest to their house.
When Simone and her mom exited the car and ran towards the two girls standing beside the water, Simone suddenly stopped, noticing who one of the girls was. It was Hannah.
Of, course it was. She should have known.
Simone glanced between the two girls. What to say...She walked over to stand beside her mother. She waved. "Yeah, it's Simone," she said to Hannah, "And, thank you," she said to the new girl, with some kind of lump hidden behind her.
Simone caught Hannah mouthing the word "help", and frowned. Why? "Hi, A.J."And when A.J. turned to Hannah, asking her name, Hannah seemed to go slightly pale. Simone decided to fill in the blanks. "Uh... she's Hannah."
Simone stared after the two girls who took off in different directions. Strange. "Come on," her mom said. "She seems to be alright."
Simone followed her mom back to the car.
Simone turned around to Hannah. "Oh, well, I guess she was a little off, but, she did just pass out. But, what was that... thing, behind her? That, that lump?" She had to ask. Simone thought Hanna might know.
Simone took the umbrella A.J. stretched out to her. "Thanks," she said with probably the most ridiculous look on her face. "She glanced behind A.J. to see if she could figure out what it was. It did look rather like a tail. She shared a knowing look with Hannah.
((sorry i havent posted in here;1. i dont know what to put and
2. ive been busy
I will try to post next monday, i promise))
Simone glanced at her mom. Her mom seemed preoccupied with the phone of her life. "Uh, sure." She gave the umbrella back to it's owner. "We'll see you later, A.J."
Hannah seemed sure in her walk. Something Simone always notice. A person's walk. Why? She knew not. She tried not to pay attention."So, how long you been working there?" Simone asked.
"Yeah, I'm a waitress at the Purple Cow on the other side of town. I've been working there for two months," Simone answered. They were just reaching the familiar place of The Ice Cream Palace.
Simone smiled at the waving kid. Hannah took her to a booth on the right side of the building. Simone always went to the counter, but she was sure Hannah had been to the counter a few to many times. She slid into the booth facing the door, and Hannah slid into the other, taking a deep breath.
Simone looked up from her menu to see if Hannah was going to go first. But Hannah didn't look that way. Simone looked up at their server. "I'd like the Triple Chocolate Chunk Ice Cream." She handed back her menu, and looked back at Hannah to see what she got.
Shya stares at her phone as she walks into the Ice Cream Palace. Her hair bouncing and excitement radiating off of her, but her face remains impassive. Shya sits down and shrugs her back pack off into the floor under seat.
Simone glanced back at Hannah. "So you always get a banana split?"Hannah looked uneasy. She guessed they were going to talk about A.J. But Hannah hadn't said anything.
Simone saw Hannah look down after her last comment. Did she hear the past tense? Hannah glanced behind her, presumably at the girl who had walked in. Or the server. She obviously knew him.
Shya looked up from her phone at the two girls, but quickly looked back down again.
"Come on! A+ give me an A+!" She whispered to herself. She has been waiting all day for her test results to come in, if she got an "A" she would get an ice cream. If she got any lower she would get a spinach smoothie from down the road.

"Well, it did look rather like a tail. I don't know. But, that's not possible. Or, maybe it's--could it be fake?" Simone asked Hannah, who looked distracted.
Shya looked up at the boy her eyes start to well with tears.
"Umm...I'm actually going to go down the road. But thanks."
She grabbed her bag and walked out of the Ice Cream Palace before any tears could fall.
"I can't believe I got a C! A, C for cryin out loud!!" She'd worked hard on her robot design this year, but if course it wasn't good enough. It rarely ever was.
